Internacionale online & A/W Press Day

Internacionale online press day autumn winter

I went to the Internacionale Press day ages ago but I was saving my coverage for their online launch day which is TODAY. You might not be aware of Internacionale. They are a strange brand if I'm honest, they sort of reminded me of Select or Quiz or something like that. I always imagine them as a small grotty store that sold a mixture of horrible trashy things and the odd gem. When I lived at home I used to go to the Worcester or Birmingham Store just incase I saw bits and bobs that I could work into my wardrobe. I often found hidden gems (including these leopard wedges) and often high street stuff (like Topshop or New Look) for a fraction of the price. I think the main thing about the brand is that their price point is fairly low.

Excuse the Instagrammy photos, My camera died when I was at the launch so I couldn't take any proper photos. I can confirm the Autumn Winter Collection at Internacionale was an absolute hit. Lots of dark, glamourous pieces, plenty of embellishment which I saw across a lot of the high street, some lovely knits and some amazing jewellery. They had a couple of pair of faux Litas including the much coveted spike ones and the lace print ones. Lots of amazing spiky jewellery and a lot of options for layering up necklaces and adding a lot of grunge to an outfit. There were a couple of amazing coats including a red houndstooth one which I really wanted to take of the mannequin as it was so gorgeous! There as fair amount of the usual detailing that we saw in spring summer like jewelled collars, sequin panels and collared tips. All the key trends for A/W12 are also covered including the usual boho traveller look, the pretty sparkly princess look and the luxe glam look. Its nothing groundbreaking but there are some amazing pieces

I think Internacionale are trying to market themselves more into the BooHoo/Missguided market rather than the idea I had in my head of a tacky cheap store. I think launching online is a great way to transition into it. I don't think there are any stores in London but apparently they are looking to expand. But now it doesn't really matter where you live as their stuff is all online! Im interested to see where the brand go from here as I think being online can really help them, and its always nice to have a new online shopping destination!
All the items are NOT in store yet as this is the autumn winter 2012 preview, Some items might not make it into the store as all items photographed are samples. I presume things will start rolling out from the end of August

  3. I used to pop in there when I was about 11 to spend pocket money on cheap and cheerful accessories and began to get a similar view of the brand as you. But I've just had a look online and they've got some really cute knitwear. I'm looking forward to seeing their autumn/winter stuff filtering through! x

  10. Ah that's good that they're moving online, although maybe that'll mean that their prices will be raised as a result?
Definitely looking forward to seeing which bits of this reach the stores in the Autumn.. I love anything 'grungey' and can't beat a bit of stud/spikes so will be interesting to see what they come up with x

  12. I work for Internacionale in one of the stores :). I've seen the brand change dramatically over the years and the stuff that has been coming through deliveries in the past year or so has been gorgeous. Its really hard to limit my spending sometimes. I'm excited for these new a/w pieces to start hitting deliveries as its my kind of style. I'm definitely coveting the faux studded litas.

  15. I've only ever been into one of their stores and it kind of reminded me of Bershka but on a H&M budget if that makes sense! It was actually quite a nice store, cannot think for the life of me where it was though! I just checked out the store, they seem to only have a small selection at the moment but still good, I'm just pleased they ship to Oz, unlike some of my fav highstreet stores!

  16. I live in Worcester and regularly pop over to their store - it used to be Mark One which was pretty tacky and generally poor quality, however I quite like it now! The prices are very competitive and you can find some great things :)
