bronzed and beautiful

The "Bronzed and Beautiful" look from the SS Catwalks was possibly my favourite of the season. Today I thought I’d chat my personal take on the uber bronzed just stepped off the plane look. That 70's jetsetter uber bronzed glam look with my own personal twist. My main inspiration for this makeup look was the The Micheal Kors show for SS14 - I think they used three different tones of bronzer to keep the face looking naturally tanned and defined.

I primed my skin with the Clarins Instant Smooth Self Tanner just to give the skin a smooth base and add a bit of bronze before foundation. For the skin - I wanted to keep my base looking clean and natural so used MAC Face and Body. A water based foundation which feels light on the skin and lasts all day. It’s got just enough dewiness to look like my skin, but better. I then used the Kiko Essential Bronzer in 201 Sienna Melange to up the bronze factor. I applied it from the hollow of the cheek area and diffused toward the jawline. Blending was crucial as I wanted it to look sun-kissed but also dramatically bronzed so keeping it soft made it look more natural. On my eyes, I swept a bit of the Clinique Chubby Stick for Eyes in Ample Amber and then lined the upper and lower lashes with the Rimmel ScandalEyes Pencil in Bronze for a simple brown smokey eye. To finish the lips, I used the Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Perfecter in 06 to give a nude natural glow.
