spring beauty looks: new nude
Jouer Matte Moisture Tint in Linen, By Terry Touche Veloutte in Cream, Kevyn Aucoin Celestial Powder, Kevyn Aucoin Sculpting Powder, Pixi Tinted Brillance Balm in 01*
Over the next few days, I’ll be showing you four wearable interpretations of spring ready makeup looks taking inspiration from the catwalk. First up I’m tackling “New Nudes” - a trend all about looking as natural as possible with a refined edge. I really love this look, and it’s one I wear quite often on no makeup makeup days. It’s really easy and simple top achieve because your just enhancing your natural look with a the addition of a few products.
We aren’t all blessed with perfect skin, so I started with a beautiful light matte base of the Jouer Matte Moisture Tint. I love this because it gives the skin a flawless base without being dewy, its so rare to find a matte tinted moisturiser!
To conceal and illuminate in one step, I used the By Terry Touche Velouttee in Cream. I popped this highlighting and concealing pen under my eyes and on the bridge of my nose. For contouring and highlighting I used my dream team of Kevyn Aucoin products, the Celestial Power and the Contouring Powder. These two are the best highlighting and contouring twosome and a MUST for any sculpted face look. I wanted the look to be quite glowy, so I went a bit heavy on the highlighter, but because it’s so natural and finely milled it never looks overdone or too much.
To give big but natural lashes, I used the new Max Factor Manga Mascara. While I don't really like the branding or the name I do like the product. It gives a big wide eyed look without looking unnatural or spider lash like. The brush is really flexible, plus the pointed edge means you can get right into the inner corners and right into the bottom lashes for a doll like look. To finish off I used a light balm on the lips rather than a lip colour. So I used the Pixi Tinted Brilliance Balm. It’s one of those PH adaptive lip products which changes depending on the natural colour of your lips and their PH level. On me, it looks like a pretty natural pink that just adds a little something to my makeup look.
What do you think of this look?
