River Island Blazer
Today I went off into town for lunch with my mother again. We went to this new little Italian place called Ludlow Cicchetti, which like The Green Cafe (see here) my Mum had been raving about. Apparently it's pretty new, but my mother has already spent a small fortune in there. She brought home some of their little cakes the other day, and they were swiftly gobbled up by us all. To. Die. For. The food was a bit like Italian style tapas, small plates with lots of flavours. I had Bresaola and some Mozzarella, Chilli and Balsamic and Mum had a sort of Oc salad type thing with Goats Ricotta and Smoked salmon. The coffee was absolutely out of this world, so smooth and rich without a hint of bitterness you get with some coffee's. All in all, delicious. I couldn't even sneak in a few more of their little cakes as I was that full. Ludlow's a proper foodie town, and I have to admit it's the kind of place the town needs. Simple, good and tasty food in a lovely environment.
As I was with my Mum, I thought I'd have her take a few snaps of my outfit. I really don't have any good clothes with me, so I'm making too with mixing and matching! I adore this A-Line leather skirt, but it creases like crazy, a couple of hours scoffing at the benches at Ludlow Chichetti, and it was a crumpled mess. I've also reverted back to the "old llymlrs" hairstyle that I wore for years. Although admittedly it's because my hair is absolutely uncontrollable today! I didn't bring any haircare with me so I have to make do with my Mum's which isn't working well for my unruly mane! A few clips later and it looks somewhat presentable!
Anyway, I'm off to spend some more quality time with my nearest and dearest while trying to defend myself from a very playful Aerys. She's so funny, and giddy at the moment it makes me chuckle. She's loving all the attention and really come out of her shell the last few days. Mum said she fell off the stairs today (quite a sheer drop), and she almost had a heart attack before remembering cats always land on their feet! Bless her.

You look good, despite the kinks.
ReplyDeleteThe decor in the Italian place looks so cosy. Mismatched, picture perfect places are always nice to be. It must make a nice change to get away from London for a while.
I'm going to try to avoid looking at the food photos again because it's late and I doubt I have salmon in my fridge right now. A very sad fact.
