my perfume tray
I'm a huge perfume lover and I knew that when I redecorated my bedroom I just had to have something to display all my favourite scents on. I bought a candle plate from Ikea and stacked it on top of my new makeup storage and then decided to pick out some of my favourite perfumes to decorate the top. I have way too many perfumes but I think the mix I have on top of the storage unit are some of my most worn and the ones that have the nicest packaging!Marc Jacobs Lola, Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess Capri, Lacoste Touch of Pink, Versace Crystal Noir, Stella L.I.L.Y, Juicy Couture Viva La Juicy, Escada Cherry in the Air, Diptque Oyedo and Chanel Coco Mademoiselle
Escada Cherry in the Air is a really feminie fruity fragrance that smells like cherries (what a suprise!) It's very sweet and uplifting and the perfect scent for spring. Marc Jacobs Lola has notes of pepper, pear, ruby red grapefruit, peony, rose, geranium, vanilla, creamy musk and tonka. I think it's a really pretty and easy to wear perfume that can be worn from day to night. I also love the floral packaging, it makes it perfect to put on display. Lacoste Touch of Pink is one of the most sold gift sets at Christmas and I can see why. It has a fairly fruity scent with a orangey opening note which dries down with vanilla, peach and jasmine. It doesnt last long and it's a faiurly forgettable perfume but I do like it and find myself reaching for it every now and then. Juicy Couture Viva la Juicy was my signature scent for a few years, it;s very floral and sometimes a little too tart on the nostrils. It has notes of berries, mandarin and vanilla. Super girly and very princessy!
Versace Cyrstal Noir has a slight coconut undertone but I mainly get notes of sandalwood, peony, gardenia and musk. It has a slight powdery dry down scent but doesn't feel too old or dated. It's super sexy and I think it's the perfect scent for colder winter months. Diptque Oyedo is a very unqiue scent as I think the best way to describe it is fizzy with a pop of citrus. I think describing a perfume as fizzy is odd but it does have this sort of fizz feeling to it, if you smelt it you'd know exactly what I mean! It's quite warm and earthy and last's all day on my skin. Stella L.I.L.Y is really unfussy, casual perfume which is perfect for daywear. It's not really a perfume I'd have picked for myself (it was as gift) but I find myself reaching for it quite alot, especially on those cloudy, muggy sort of days where I fancy a floral pickup. Chanel Coco Mademoiselle is one of my all time favourite perfumes, Top notes are orange, mandarin orange, orange blossom and bergamot. It smells wonderfully classic while also being fresh and youthful. Chic, Lady Like and very classy. I'm still mourning the loss of my favourite perfume ever, Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess so I've been trying to use up some of my Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess Capri. It has a warm and fresh feel to and reminds me of being on holiday. I personally don't like it as much as the original Bronze Goddess but it is lovely!
