Bourjois Rouge Edition in 19 review swatch photo

Bourjois Rouge Edition in 19 is a milky peachy pink lipstick. My usual sort of peachy pink with a bit of nude thrown in for good measure. The formula of Rouge Editions is creamy, opaque and full coverage, they have no noticeable scent. I found that this particular shade really clung to any of the drier parts of my lips and made them look quite caked on. The milkiness of the shade made it even more noticeable. It really enhanced any imperfections on the lips. I did exfoliate and try again but I wanted to show how it looked before doing this. It just doesn't sit very nicely!

While I do really like the shade of the lipstick and it ticks all the boxes for the type of lipstick I would normally reach for. The shade just generally didn't work for me, I think its mainly down to the milkier colour and very creamy finish. It's very similar to the Rouge Edition in shade 3 Peche Cosy, but a little milkier and more nude. I find the other shade much more flattering and easier to wear than shade 19. At £7.99 they aren't the cheapest of lipsticks but I do really like the Rouge Editions, I just don't think this is the best shade of the bunch unfortunately!
