maybelline colour show pow green nail polish review swatch photo

The new-ish nail line from Maybelline has been on my radar for a while, and I decided to get a shade to test out when I was in Boots a few days ago. The Colour Show range contains a whopping 40 shades to choose from I had to have a bit of a think. Finally, I settled upon Pow Green. A bright lime green creme finish polish. I don't know why I picked it, I felt at the time that it was pretty unique. I couldn't think of anything off the top of my head like it. It's very much a yellow/neon/bright green with a slight dirty undertone to it. One of the things I liked about the polish is that the brush is really wide which mades application super easy. Completely effortless. The formula is nice neither too thick or too thin. It dries in an average time, but nothing too spectacular. It's two coats opaque, but a third evens it out but it's a touch streaky still. At 2.99 and a huge selection of shades to choose from these are definitely a drugstore item worth trying out. They arent incredible, but they aren't bad either. Pow Green is a stand out shade in the range for me and although the colour is quite strange, it's a nice spring colour!
