The applicator is a soft short sponge which makes it super simple to apply the the lips. It's a very throw on and go product as you can literally do it in the dark. The Lip Perfector itself feels like a lip balm than a gloss, it doesn't feel sticky or tacky in the slightest. The wear time is about 2-3 hours, but that's not terrible in lip gloss terms. The product also has a vanilla caramel scent which I find pretty inoffensive, Dare I say I actually like a scented lip product?
Rosewood Shimmer darkens my natural lip tone and leaves my lips looking a bit too brown for my liking. Petal Shimmer is a baby nude while Candy shimmer is a rosey pink. None of them actually contain any shimmer so I really have no idea where the name comes from. On my terribly dark natural lip colour lips they they don't pack a pigmented punch. They do sort of fit into the my lips but better category but that just isn't my cup of tea. I do prefer a bit of colour on the lips.
These don't come out until May, but there are three original shades already on sale which you can purchase from any Clarins counter for around £17.
