001. I promised myself I'd take a proper photo this week instead of a iphone/photbooth one but alas Im so tired. I just got home from my dads and totally didn't realize the time! The photos actually something I twitpic'd the other day! I'm wearing one of my favourite dresses of all time which I've worn probably once since I got it! It was my Grannys birthday and we went for a meal at my aunties so I got a bit dolled up! Ah well love it! Good Ol' Topperz!
002. My heart really goes out to the people of Japan at the moment. Natural disasters really get to me, seeing the footage genuinely upset me when it happened a few days ago. However it would be amazing if everyone could just take two seconds and donate some money to them. You don't have to donate the suggested amounts if you just click other and type in how much you want to donate.
003. New rings up again in the JWLRY shop. You can use 15PLZ to get 15% off till Tuesday! Im tempted to get some sort of jewellery in and sell it so 100% of the profit goes to the Japanese quake. Its something I feel so passionate about.
004. I'm back at the gym! Motivated by the fact I want to be able to run again, and the possibility of doing a marathon in aid of my friend who died from Cancer this time last year. I'm using the Couch to 10k app at the moment as a starting point to get on track with it. Although a marathon is like 5 times that! But we all gotta start somewhere! I think there is a Couch to 25k one too? Might work my way up! Baby steps people! Anyone who has any experience with running long distances please let me know how you trained and that! I'd love to hear more about it!
005. I will get back into doing five to follow soon, but because I've been away from the blog world alot recently I haven't really been reading as many blogs as I should have been! My BlogLovin' unread count keeps ticking upwards and its making me nervous! Once my dissertation is handed in on Wednesday I shall be back to normal blogging and reading! I cannot wait!

I have that dress too and love it!! :)
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the running, I've been running for the past year or so and I was totally useless at it when I started. But managed to do a couple of 10k races! It's best just to be patient and not push yourself too quickly :) x
you look stunning in your photo, the dress looks lovely! things like that really upset me too. to think they have lost almost EVERYTHING. I feel guilty sometimes sitting here on my mac and then realising that these people don't even have a home! i would be willing to buy a ring if the profits went to the japanese quake i think it's a really really great thing to do! good luck with the marathon too! i hope it all goes well

ReplyDeleteDid you see this? http://bit.ly/gGF2Tf Ugh, I couldn't believe it when I saw it, I don't think anyone can fully comprehend the damage done geographically until they see that. Yikes.
ReplyDeleteThat's so sad about your friend :( It hurts when you lose anyone, especially when they're young and it's incredibly sweet of you to want to run in his honour. Good luck gorgeous x
Beautiful as always dear! I have been tuned into Sky news non stop since the earthquake happened it is just horrible, i agree i would Definitely purchase a ring if the profits were going to those effected in Japan, its a great idea!xx

The donation idea is really good! I feel so bad for them too, the water literally looked like a monster! Terrifying to be honest.

Wow loving the outfit, looks totally cute! Your eyes always astound me, i love the way you make them standout without looking like their over done! I know what you mean by Japan, it shocks and scares me that such a strong country can be so easily destroyed by mother nature. Really puts things into perspective. Well done for taking up running and challenging yourself with such a target. I have been running for quite some time now but have not yet done any marathons, maybe one year. I find listening to my ipod the biggest help, as just as i feel myslef lagging i put on a powerful song and it revs me up. Little by little is key to running long distances, and a good pair of trainers, i learnt the hard way when I first started running , as wore pumps and gave myself shin splints, which kills! So seriously invest in a good pair of trainers! Look forward to hear how you get on xx :o)

Good luck with the marathon :)
ReplyDeleteAlso what happened in Japan is just too terrible...
that is a lovely idea selling some rings and donating, also lovely running a marathon for your friend, i hope it all goes well lily :)
ReplyDeleteLily, I adore your dress, your so pretty! x
ReplyDeleteYour makeup & hair looks amazing here. I'm back on a health kick too and trying to go to the gym more. It's hard finding motivation everyday.
ReplyDeletexx
I used to do ALOT of long distance running, one really important thing, which is often over looked due to cost, is getting the right shoes, it's sooooo important for your joints. Any running shops will do a quick test and get you the right kind of shoes.
ReplyDeleteSounds trivial but it's really worth it if you wanna start off right...
Good luck, it's super rewarding!
x
Lovely portrait! And oh, the Japanese disaster is just so incredibly terrible, isn't it? It is so nice of you to consider contributing to the charities that are trying to help out the situation.
ReplyDeletexx
your idea to raise money for the quake is lovely <3
ReplyDeletedonating your profits to japan is such a lovely idea lily and i bet it would encourage people to buy more of it. good luck with the rest of your dissertation and with the running. i want to start running so gotta check out this app
ReplyDeleteBow Dream Nation xx
Is the dress from topshop? xx
ReplyDeleteThat's so great that you are passionate about helping out and perhaps donating the proceeds from your shop to help those affected in Japan. It's also endearing that you are picking up running again. Good luck with school and thanks for sharing your heart and for encouraging others to help out.

The rings are very beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI would love to be able to run a marathon! I want to train!
You look beautiful in this photo Lily, loving that peace sign with your fingers, don't need if you do it intentionally, but it totally ties in with what you said about the Japan tragedy. Like peace etc? Your so charitable, the idea of you giving 100% profit to the Japaneese Quake is a great idea!
ReplyDeleteOh, running long distances.. good luck.. im the worst long distance runner ever, stupid asthma!
Hope you get your dissertation finsihed and up to the standard you want, can't wait to see you back blogging more frequently lovely! Have a good week xxx
I love that dress, it really suits you! Your hair looks good too.
ReplyDeleteI want to try to get a bit fitter too.. I'm just so lazy and like you, I have uni work to sort out first! Argh!!

Hiya! I joined the gym last month with the mission of going EVERY day. Obviously I was aiming a bit high but I've only missed 5 days this month. I find going to classes like Body Circuits etc provides more motivation. Good luck with it! xx
ReplyDeleteAnd so the Physiotherapist in me comes out:
ReplyDeleteAll those trainers and that aren't really necessary. I'm a massive believer in barefoot and working your muscles and ligaments up to be able to support your feet and ankles fully, without the need for all sorts of trainers and built in support etc etc. If you've got healthy feet atm theres no reason why you shouldnt be able to do it. Have a look at Vibram shoes! I'm desperate for some to run in! Apparently they take a little while to get used to! WANT. Shame they're so mingin'
Oh. And interval training ftw.
from the look of the picture the dress looks super lovely (:
ReplyDeletegotta love your sunday posts x
You're so pretty, thanks for the update on your life!
