dress: new look
coat: new look
scarf: primark
I took these photos literally about 15 mins before I left the house this morning so excuse my crappy posing! But yes as you can see from the title I HAVE A WINTER COAT. Infact this is part one, I will post the second of my winter coats on a different day this week! I always find getting a winter coat to be a challenge, I normally have an idea of a shape or a style of coat that I want, but cant never find the right one.
This particular camel one is something I've had my eye on for a while now, Ive actually tried it on a fair few times and thought "No... its not QUITE right..." but I tried it on again last Friday and thought "MEH, Its pretty much what I want..." My only real issue is the fact it doesnt have real pockets, I tend to keep my phone in my coat pocket rather than in my bag, So its quite annoying not having anywhere to put it! Despite this, I really love the peacoat double breasted shape, and the beautiful camel colour. It feels really timeless and classic, Exactly what Id like from a coat. Its also made out of quite thick and warm fabric, Although it does feel a tad chunky, I think it has the right balance and doesn't drown me or make me look to big. It was £40 from New Look, Which for a coat I think is quite reasonable!

love it! you're always bang on trend :) xxx
ReplyDeleteLove the coat Lily, its the perfect length for you and i LOVE camel right now!
ReplyDeleteI'm selling some stuff on ebay that you might be interested in so check it out :)

ReplyDeleteLooks so much better on than on the website! Much nicer colour. Saw it the other day but didn't try it on so might go back and see if it looks ok x

ReplyDeleteKittenish Behaviour Blog
you make it look 1000 times better than the website does. I love it! :)
ReplyDeleteThe colour looks beautiful on you and it's a lovely shape. I find shopping for winter coats challenging too. Fortunately this year it wasn't too difficult.
ReplyDeleteI have literally just ordered this coat online (and the same dress I think! But in white). Probs gonna have to send them back though cos NOTHING seems to look right on me just now but soooo glad you've posted this, it looks much better on you than it does on the website! Gutted that it doesn't have real pockets though :O, I think that's probably gonna bug me a little tooooo much. Plus I think the dress is gonna be showing my bumcheeks if it's the same one as this. I'm a tad taller.
ReplyDeleteYou look lovely though! You ALWAYS do. x
I was so close to getting a camel duffle coat but went with the blue instead :( whenever winter rolls around I want to buy 6745 new coats and throw away my old ones!
ReplyDeletepretty as always! :)
ReplyDeleteI have had an awful time trying to find a winter coat this year. This may just be it - will check it out tomorrow! You make it look a million times better than the website! X

does it have pockets underneath? i bought a coat from miss selfridge (similar to yours but with a hood)and the pockets were fake but there were actual pockets, they'd just sowed up the entry to them (if you get me) and so i simply removed the string or stitching or whatever and voila i had pockets
ReplyDeleteYou look beaufitul!!!
ReplyDeleteKisses from Poland
It's lovely!
ReplyDeletecheck out our fashion illustrations at http://www.illustrated-moodboard.com/ :)
Beautiful coat!
ReplyDeletei really like this coat, and the colour is fab, but i don't think i could handle one without pockets, i'd be going to put my hands in my pockets all the time forgetting their not there xo
ReplyDeletenew look should really pay you on top of your wages- so many people are more interested in this coat after seeing it on you! it does look great, odd that the pockets aren't real especially cause hands-in-pockets is a real winter neccessity for alot of people... but its still gorge xx
ReplyDeletelove your coat haha:), i agree can't live without pockets in my coats either!xxx
ReplyDeleteI'm currently on the quest to find a winter coat, I love yours. I've seen one in miss selfridge but im just not sure it would look right on my figure *sighs* and meanwhile its freezing outside as I try and find one that looks right! ha :) xx
ReplyDeleteTotally sympathise with the pockets dilemma- I am in the same boat with my winter coat!xx
ReplyDeleteSuch an awesome colour coat! Love it :) you always look gorgeous in your photos, Lily!

I agree. It's such a gorgeous colour x
ReplyDelete£40 is a bargain for a coat! I wish I'd tried New Look before heading for Topshop.
ReplyDeleteLove the colour and the style of this one. A classic wardrobe staple that you can hopefully wear again next winter. x
love it, what a nice coat!!!! it's stunning. you look great, and love your hair! i also have the ombre thing going on, but i love how yours is close to the ends. really lovely.

ReplyDeleteAre you sure the pockets aren't just sewed up. Often if you feel around there are pockets but for some reason they sew them up. If you can feel it just quick unpick! BAM your phone has a home! Love the coat am really tempted to get it! x

ReplyDeletelove the coat, you always look so good. xx
ReplyDeleteIt looks so much better on you than on new look's website. They should hire you a model :)
ReplyDeleteas a model ;DD
ReplyDeleteabsolutely beautiful!!! <3
ReplyDeleteaww so gorgeous. I too have had to heed the call of the winter coat. So freaking cold right now!
ReplyDeleteI cannot believe the price of this coat. It looks far more luxe than its modest price tag. V. classical-burberry esque! And camel looks nice with your colouring. You look adorable in it x
the coat is really lovely!
ReplyDeleteI have a new camel duffle coat and can't wait to wear it all winter. though I'm still thinking of getting another camel coat!
Love this coat!!! the shape and the colour is fab, love the detail on the fake pockets pity they arent real like you said, not just for your phone but to stuff your hands in when they get cold! :) x
ReplyDeletecoat looks so great on you, love the colour!! xo
ReplyDeletecute coat! you totally remind me of julia from the band angus and julia stone its uncanny!
ReplyDeleteI have been keeping my eye on that coat too - it is gorgeous and so versatile, is it snuggly warm enough for winter?

It's so cute but I have a coat sans pockets too and it's so annoying not being able to tuck your cold hands anywhere.
ReplyDeleteI've heard lots about the new "New Look" stores. And wow you're a stunning coat from there!
ReplyDeletelove the coat! :)
ReplyDeleteLove this coat, Lily!
ReplyDeletePs. thanx for the mentioning in the previous post! xxx

I like the shape and colour, looks great on you, it's so hard finding a winter coat. I've saw one I love in Matalan, I need it in my life. That'd annoy me about pockets too, only because I'm a typical girl and shove everything in my bag and if my phone rings I can never find it in time haha xxx
ReplyDeleteWow it's great. And it looks much better on your pics than on the newlook homepage =)
ReplyDeletelovely coat! :)
