want featuring Models Own

Slate Green, Feelin' Blue, Peach Sherbert, Lilac Dream
Rapberry Crush, Beths Blue, Emerald City, Lime Green

Models Own are a brand that I recently came across, Although I think I've heard the name tossed around a few times before, But I never really checked out the brand. Over the past few weeks I've really gotten into my nail art and experimenting with my talons! Im always drawn to bright colours, and I totally feel you can never have enough nail polishes!

Models Own has one of the biggest collections of different colored polishes I've seen. Compared to Barry M's range of 50 different shades, Models Own has about 90 different polishes, Which is amazing! They come in a variety of finishes too, so its not just the standard "cream" style finishes which are normally around. I'm in love with all their sparkly polishes! I know you can get it in larger Boots store, as well as order them online.

Models Own have really good discount codes for those who like their discount codes (Meeee!) A few weeks ago they had 20% off for the world cup, and I've seen them have a 25% code as well as a 50% one. Keep your eyes peeled for them on their Twitter.

I wish we had China Glaze and OPI over here, In the US its only around $3-$4 dollars a bottle, compared to about £6-£10 here! I dont understand why its marketed as a more upmarket/salon brand over here? I know people like Laura uses a ebay seller to get cheaper OPI/ChinaGlaze but I cant for the life of me find the link right now! If you know it tell me and ill put it up for everyone to seee!

  2. Mmm, Models Own! That Raspberry Crush & Emerald City colours are to die for, plus there's an awesome colour on their ASOS page called Purple Grey that I'm really digging too. I wonder if the quality is good!

  3. Love all the top row colours. I always stop and ogle these in topshop but then end up staying true to good old Barry M. Maybe when payday rolls around I will break my loyalties and live on the wild side in the nail world haha.

  4. Oh I want to try models own polishes but they don't have them here in the US. Oh and OPI polishes are actually around $8 here, which I think is a lot for a bottle of polish...

  6. The ebay shop is called Enchanted Beauty Spot, but it's not as cheap as it used to be unfortunately! I think OPI went a bit mental at people selling their brand without permission or something and then the prices went up. It used to be about £5.50 for each polish (delivered) but now it's about £6.80 for each one (delivered). When you factor in that you could end up paying import custom charges it gets even more (potentially) expensive.

  8. Actually, OPI is about $8 in the states whereas China Glaze is $6. OPI is considered a more upscale salon brand. There's a real difference and quality in the formula and pigment. Try it!

  14. I'm an OPI addict; altho. they cost the same in the US as over here. I buy mine mostly from eBay and pay around £5-10 depending on the colour.

  16. These are all lovely! They are 2 for £8 in Boots at the moment, making them a very reasonable £4 each, so I'll definitely get some soon! I love the metallic gold and silver ones. x
