Ok, So my pictures don't really have any relevance to this post! I decided to do my hair a bit different again, Gosh I'm getting experimental! I was actually inspired by a picture I think I saw on Victorias blog, I cant actually find the post in question, So I may have dreamt it! But who knows! Its basically a half braided, half down look, It reminds me of those awful haircuts "edgy" girls seem to have at the moment where they shave half their head? Personally I think my version is much cuter, (big headed much?!) and I will not have to suffer the laughable regrowth that those with half shaved heads will have to endure!
Anyhoo, Onto the important stuff! I almost forgot that my blogiversary (sp? blogaversary? I dont know!) today! LLYMLRS is officially one who year old! I cant believe I've actually be posting consistently since then. Id defiantly say over the last 6 months I've really found my blogging niche. If I was to describe LLYMLRS, It would be a fashion and lifestyle blog about a "normal" girl, who's a "normal size" buys "normal" clothes!
Personally I find it really rare in fashion blogs that girls are of a normal everyday-girl-on-the-street size, as a size 10, 5ft5, wide hipped, small chested, chunky thighs, too many lumps and bumps in the wrong places girl myself, I feel that I don't really fit in the fashion blog niche! More and more I see big fashion blogs are often restricted to girls who are stick thin, uber tall and super rich. I find myself being drawn more and more to the blogs that are done by girls who don't fit into the stereotypical "Fashion blogger" category! Do you guys understand what I'm trying to get at? I'm not hating girls who do have blogs like I described, It just feels a bit too unrealistic for my liking, Its not like I'm ever going to be able to drop £200+ on a single item of clothing!
I just want to say thank you so much to all my wonderful followers. Reading all your comments, emails and your blogs make me so happy. Getting feedback on something I really genuinely enjoy doing is just amazing. Your support is really overwhelming! Lets hope this keep going and hopefully growing for years to come!

lovely hair and top! were is the top from? will you do an outfit post with it?

Happy blog-birthday! I agree with you about so many blogs not showcasing 'normal' fashion and personally I really like to see high street clothes on blogs. I started mine because I was a bit fed up of every other blog being written by someone who can afford loads of designer clothes, and I wanted to show it's possible to have good style and be original if you shop almost exclusively at the cheaper end of the high street! Keep up the good work, your blog is one of my favourites xx
ReplyDeleteAw happy blogiversary! You really have amazing things in the last 6 months <3
ReplyDeleteCome jumbling with me!! I wish you lived in London :(
You always look really beautiful in your posts :) I loveeee your hair, this style is simply amazing x x x
ReplyDeleteAlso totally agree with Blair, normal is so much more interesting!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your blogiversary! I love reading all kinds of blogs but I like reading blogs written by normal people most too! :)

I saw your pic and I thought 'ooh that looks like a picture I liked a few weeks back'. hehe.
ReplyDeleteIt looks pretty cool! xx
Happy birthday to your blog!
ReplyDeleteYour type of blog is the kind I like best - by a normal person, for normal people :)
I much prefer to be inspired by attainable, high street fashion, than post after post of unattainable runway pieces..

Congratulations, your one of my favourite bloggers (:
ReplyDeleteCongrats!
ReplyDeleteOne of my favourite blogs by far, simply because of how well I can relate to it like you said.
Keep up the good work :]
xo
Happy birthday to your blog! I rarely read blogs of girls who are a few sizes smaller than me because they are all exactly how you described and it's just like a new face on the same body each time.
ReplyDeleteI don't want to sound like i'm bashing so i'll hush but I really love that you aren't a size 2 and looking like someone who crawled through their grandmother's trash.
You're different and unique. I love your blog :) xoxo
You have just summed up exactly why I love your blog so much... normal girl, normal size, normal clothes :D Thats the kind of blog I like to read!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the 1 year hun, keep up the great work xxx
I completely agree with you! I love reading from all blogs in all shapes and sizes:) Check out my blog roll...there are some really great blogs out there that are more normal.

Happy Blog Anniversary! Really enjoyed following your blog! It definitely doesn't feel like a year!
ReplyDeletehappy blogversary, LLYMLRS! I always enjoy to check your blog:] I prefer "normal" fashion, and "normal" inspire me more than high street fashion!
ReplyDeleteI live in Japan, so I can't see some fashionable girls who wear not Japanese fashion on the street in Japan, but I can see the girls with abroad fashion in some blogs on internet;] I wanna express Japanese fashion style from my blog, and I wanna get the informations about abroad fashion from so many blogs especially your blog!
Happy bloggy birthday! I love reading your blog and you're doing us british girls proud. I agree with you on the normal girl blog front as i'm definitely not going to be pulling off the looks those girls can anytime soon and I feel so much more enamored with normal bloggers on a budget!
ReplyDeletehappy bday to your blogggy:) yay! and looove your hair. too cute.

Happy bloggy birthday to you! First of all, I think your hair is so cute like that!
ReplyDeleteI've been following your blog for awhile now on bloglovin but never really had to the time to comment. Anyway, I definitely agree, it's so much nicer to read a 'normal' girl's blog because I'm so very 'normal' myself:)
Happy One year!!! :)
ReplyDeleteI think some blogs are so unreal (I mean I´m not a supermodel type of girl) but I like yours very much cause it´s different!
I often find myself thinking "I could pull that off" while on other blogs you just find yourself wishing you were taller, thiner, etc!
See you!
beautiful hair.
ReplyDeletehappy blogiversary! i lol-ed when i read about those half shaved haircuts. the regrowth must be such a pain! i prefer blogs about 'normal' people lots more these days, rather than 13 year olds who get to go to fashion shows. pffft
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday, LLYMLRS (which I affectionately call Lemurs, hehe). I am so glad to be reading a real girl blog, so relevant to me - from the UK, 5ft5, not stick thin, not a massive trend follower, not afraid to step out of the norm, & not a walking advertisement. Keep on posting, girl! I'll keep reading.

Haaaaapy Birthday blog!
ReplyDeleteWhatever niche you're in, is the one I'm in x
Yeah, happy birthday!!
ReplyDeleteYou're a so cool blogger, I really like the way your posting.
i'm always thinking the same thing when I read other blogs. Your speaking out of my mind
:-)

Happy blog-birthday! I agree with you entirely about the niche of blogging... sometimes I do like oggling at those blogs you described, but not especially because I can relate to them, rather because they're unattainable, if I'm honest. I'm fairly tall, but have big boobs for my size which means proportionwise my legs are short and my clothes have to be bigger sizes... let's celebrate the norm of 'normal' girls eh :) Here's to the next year!
ReplyDelete♥ Claire @ Jazzpad
happy birthday, lovely! :)
ReplyDeletei totally agree about the stereotypical fashion blogger, it's so weird, i was going to write something similar yesterday before reading this post.
i definately do not fit into the stereotype category. yes, i may be rather skinny (naturally) but i have lumps and bumps like any normal girl, i'm 5'6 and i'm not that attractive. i am also far from rich.
great post.
love, jazzabelle. xxx
HAPPY 1-YEAR-BLOGAVESARY :D Couldn't agree more about the fashion blogger niche!!! Its good to have blogs like yours, which is more realistic and affordable :D Keep it up

Happy birthday LLYMLRS! I totally understand what you're talking about with unrealistic fashion blogs. The thing that initially hooked me to blogging (especially fashion blogs) was the fact that it wasn't like reading a magazine. You can look at real girls and truly gain inspiration from their realistic everyday styles. I love your blog! Keep doing what you're doing. You're fabulous.

Keep it up & please check mine out . thankyou
