As I mentioned yesterday I'm off back up to Ludlow too see my family for the Bank Holiday weekend. I thought I'd just quickly get up a post as I left of what Im wearing today to go home. I hate travelling home, It takes about 4 and a bit hours from my house (south west London) to get to my Mum's and Im dreading it. It's already a 40 minute tube ride to Paddington which sucks enough as it is only to have to spend another 3 and a half hours on a train! I was used to the weekly ritual of coming down to London a ridiculous ammount of time a week from home. But its just the last thing I want to do anymore. Oh well, Im just thinking about the people at the other end of the journey and it makes it all worth while. The only thing thats giving me a little comfort is the fact I've pre-planned a trip to YO! Sushi for once I get to the station! Yum!
Things I've learnt about trains include, always wear a jumper over whatever you're wearing. Trains seem to always be too hot or too cold so its easier to take a jumper off than risk wearing lots of layers. I tend to always wear dresses and tights or tunics and leggings because they are just easier and comfier for long distance. ALWAYS WEAR FLAT SHOES. I can't stress how many times I've almost tumbled getting onto a train which seems to be about 1000 metres away from the platform edge. They always say "Mind the gap" but surely they should make trains that actually stop near the platform?
