So yesterday was the snazzy relaunch of the New Look Oxford Circus store and I was lucky enough to be in attendance. The store has had a 21st Century facelift and has been thrown into being a super modern, shoppable hub for all things fashion. All four floors have been refurbished, remerchandised and totally on point in regards to a cool, fun place to shop. There was even a selfie chair, photo booth and mannequins that had iPads for faces which flashes up selfies from afore mentioned chair! While it might seem insignificant, the way a shop looks really effects the way you shop within it. This refurb just make me want to look around all the nooks and crannies and have a good ol’ shop!
New Look is on point this A/W, The party stuff is just out of this world right now. Think over sized sequined tee's, glam rock inspired glitter boots and sexy all in one jumpsuits. I absolutely love the "glam groupie" look in the festive party looks. Lots of leather, sequins and fur! Totally luxe and rock star chic!
For my party outfit I wanted to pick something that was dressy but not too dressy. I think there is this myth that party means ALL THE SPARKLES EVER. But for me it’s about getting that balance right. I picked up a jumper with a jazzy detail on the neckline and some patterned trousers. Patterned trousers are perfect for when you need something that’s chic but not too loud. These tiny tile printed ones are awesome for that. Star item for me was totally these rockin’ sandals. I mean HELLO JUST LOOK AT THEM. The textured heel was the perfect amount of pizzaz my outfit needed to lift it from something that I could have worn to the office to but then to a party. Super comfy too and less than £30!
A quick base touch up, adding oomph up my lashes with coatings of my favourite mascara and a few mins to sculpt out some killer cheekbones with the help of a matte contour. Armed with a dusting of highlighter and a Pure Colour Lipstick in Pink (a super pretty light pink!) I was good to go. For my hair I decided to keep the wavy texture I was rocking and just give a good ol’ blast of dry texture spray and give it a good old jujj. Good job I like the rock n roll look! Spritz of my favourite perfume and I was ready to hit the store.
After having my photo snapped by some photogs at the door (fancy!), I headed up to the exclusive VIP area. A glass of wine in hand I sat down and admitted the new store. With performances from some X Factor lovelies (Hello Jack Walton!) and some giggles with Suzie the night went off with a bang. The party was the perfect way to put the new store on the map!
I recently worked with New Look on a little get party ready with me style video for their online video channel! It was really fun and the set was DREAMY. Check it out above for a bit of party inspiration!
