Every once in a while something comes through my door and I gasp. This was one of this was one of those products. As soon as I peeled back the signature Charlotte Tilbury packaging of burgundy and rose gold I knew it’d be a winner. I’ve said before but Charlotte Tilbury is my favourite makeup artist. Her approach to makeup, style and atheistic are spot on. Her signature rock chic look could not be more perfect. Her makeup line is also one of the freshest things to come out of the beauty industry in years.
Matte Revolution sets to redefine the matte lip. Long gone are the days of chalky, sticky heavy mattes and in comes the Charlotte Tilbury 21st century versions. Charlotte says matte lipsticks can give the lips the appearance of looking fuller and wider to give a sexy 360 plumped pout. Each shade within the Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipstick range is taken from her 10 key looks - The Ingenue, The Golden Goddess, The Uptown Girl, The Sophisticate, The Rock Chic, The Dolce Vita, The Bombshell, The Vintage Vamp, The Glamour Muse and The Rebel. Each shade is inspired by a celebrity look and has something to suit everyone.

The lipsticks are creamy and apply well to the lips. They don’t feel drying nor do they cling to the lips like some matte shades. At £23 these are not cheap lipsticks - but they are the ultimate indulgent purchase. Quality wise they are impeccable, with very little on the market rivalling them. Rose Gold bullets are stunning and just have that really old Hollywood but modern luxe feel to it. If you buy one item this month… make it these.
