The Urban Decay Electric Palette has been calling me ever since it popped into my life a few days ago. I cant even remember the last time I wore a non neutral eyeshadow but this uber bright neon palette was  just begging for me to play with it. Inspired by the makeup at Kenzo - I decided to go for neon yellow eyes. Completely out of my comfort zone but it was something I thought just might work.

The Urban Decay Electric Palette is a plethora of shocking neon shades. The palette boasts a mix of frosted and matte shades in a variety of bright shades from blue to green to yellow. I found blending was relatively easy considering the formulation, but I did put a bit more effort into blending out than I normally do. It makes a stark contrast to all the neutrals that have come out this spring. I used the shade Thrash - which is actually more of a neon lime but once applied looks more yellow toned. Neon yellow eyes give techno-jungle rave vibe. Totally wild and wonderful. Definitely one to consider the next few months!

PS: I'll quickly mention it but some of shades are listed as not being safe to use on the eye area on the packaging. This is because in the USA as the FDA have not tested and approved the use of neon pigment on the eye area. But we don't have these restrictions in the UK. It doesn't mean it's unsafe, I think its just to cover their backs incase someone decides to sue.

Excuse my hair in these pictures! I didnt expect the look to work at all hence why it's unwashed and gross!
