Molecular gastronomy has never really appealed to me until one day we stumbled upon Chin Chin Labs. A fixture in Camden market where ice cream is frozen to order using liquid nitrogen. The menu is short but sweet: chocolate, vanilla and two specials – one ice-cream, one dairy-free. Then you have a selection of gourmet toppings to experiment with. I went for a Caramel Pretzel and Grilled White Chocolate - no idea how they grilled white chocolate but I rolled with it.

Expect a queue, it's pretty darn popular, but being a Londoner I now know that queuing always means its worth it. Honestly one of the best ice creams I've ever tasted although I was panicking that I'd die of nitrogen poisoning! The ice cream was creamy, super vanilla-y and really was a HUGE treat. Expensive at almost £5 a tub but like I said, so worth it! I can report back that am indeed not dead. 100% reccomend this place if youre ever in Camden!
