I’ve made no secret of my love of the NYX Xtreme Lip Creams. I especially love Nude Peach Fuzz which is in my top 5 lip colours of all time. So if you ever wonder what lip colour Im wearing, its either going to be Illamasqua Androgen Cream Pigment or NYX Xtreme Lip Cream in Nude Peach Fuzz. They are my fail-safe favourites.
Xtreme Lip Creams are kind of a lipstick/lipgloss hybrid. Full coverage and opaque in one good swipe, very little slip and surprisingly lightweight. The consistency is thick but weightless, which sort of reminds me of the OCC lip tars if you want a reference point. The finish is hard to describe, its not matte but its not glossy either. It has a gloss feel, but also isn’t ridiculously glossy. On me, the shades last around five hours -which isn’t half bad for a glossy lip formulation. As I already mentioned, the NYX Xtreme Lip Cream in Nude Peach Fuzz is my favourite, a warm toned peachy pink. I wear it 90% of the time, and I've actually gone through two tubes of the stuff. I was sent two additional shades from the Xtreme Lip Cream range to add to my collection. First the NYX Xtreme Lip Cream in Candy Land, a bit darker and pinker than Nude Peach Fuzz. Plus NYX Xtreme Lip Cream in Absolute Red - an awesome juicy dark red. It has a really wine/berry/just bitten look to it which I think is stunning.
Although Im singing their praises they do taste kinda funky… kinda plastic/fruity which is the oddest thing ever. If I didn’t like the finish and colours so much I probably wouldn’t use them - I have a very sensitive disposition when it comes to scented lip products! I think the fact that I like them so much makes me forget about the hideous taste. You have been warned!
In all these are a really good product from NYX, I totally recommend them. I bought my Xtreme Lip Cream from Cherry Culture, but you can also get them from the UK NYX shop as well as on Ebay.
Do you like the sound of these?
