laura mercier silk creme foundation, collection lasting perfection concealer, the body shop shimmer waves in coral (eyes & Cheeks)*, guerlain eyeliner*, bourjois twist up the volume mascara, NYX extreme lip cream in nude peach fuzz, Benefit Speed Brow

Right, my new years resolution? Try some new base products, Obviously I used my usual Laura MerCIer Silk Creme Foundation and buffed it into the skin for a super flawless finish… Then again I do love that foundation so so much. I then took Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer, a good ol' favourite and popped it on blemishes and under my eyes. I adore this concealer, budget friendly but works so well at covering.

I dusted a little bit of The Body Shop Shimmer Waves in Coral on both my eyes and my cheeks. I used a really warm peach shade on the eyes and a champagne shade from the palette to highlight the brow bone. Then I swirled the powder together for my cheeks. I wanted to keep the cheeks really natural with a slight glow with all the drama being on the eyes. I did a thick black line of the Guerlain Eyeliner, obviously. It's so rare I use anything else these days! I then put tons and tons of the Bourjois Twist Up The Volume Mascara on the eyes for maximum impact. I love how lengthening this mascara is, it makes me look like I've got really long lashes even though they are fairly stubby! For my brows, I used the Benefit Speed Brow, which I don't know if I like or not. It looks fine in real life, yet photographs terribly, It 's made the light bounce off them, they look a little "bitty" plus too ashy in colour. We'll see about this one. I probably just have the wrong colour and its making them photograph oddly, but I think it looks alright in real life. Weird.

On my lips, I used the NYX Xtreme Lip Creme in Nude Peach Fuzz. This lipgloss is on it's last legs, so I really need to repurchase it. It's a mix between a lip lacquer and a lipstick with the formula of a gloss. I don't really like the taste of this product, and it does feel a little smothering on the lips. Then again -The colour is just too perfect.
