Aesop Chamomile Concentrate Anti-Blemish Masque review swatch photo

Aesop Chamomile Concentrate Anti-Blemish Masque: £33

Aesop is a brand I've always admired from afar. It’s got a really old school alchemy feel to the brand. I know the packaging shouldn’t be the selling point, but I adore good design. I also really love how their counters look. If you haven’t been to one then I’d highly recommend seeking one out, They just look so awesome. So the packaging looking nice and the counter looking pretty is all well and good but do the products work?

I really like the Aesop Parsley Seed Mask, when I introduced it to Zoe claimed it was like “Angels had come down and kissed“ her face. I was like “okay… cool”. But honestly, it is really lovely. Great for getting rid of blackheads, detoxing the skin and leaving it feeling super smooth. However, it feels like it’s constantly sold out, I wear every time I attempt to purchase it’s out of stock! I recently purchased the Aesop Chamomile Concentrate Anti-Blemish Masque on a browse around Liberty and thought I’d give it a whirl. I’d not actually heard about this before, but the salesman explained to me that it was great for problem skin and should work well at calming my breakouts.

After the first use of the Aesop Chamomile Concentrate Anti-Blemish Masque, my skin felt so smooth, so detoxed and so refreshed. I’ve tried countless masks in my time, but this one has literally blown things out the water. It visibly calmed my angry breakouts and left my skin look so fresh and SO smooth. I have quite a lot of congestion on my cheeks and nose and I felt this really worked well at detoxing my skin. It’s soothing and calming without feeling dry or stripping. It felt like a souped up version of the Aesop Parsley Seed mask. The scent is floral, herby and quite earthy which is very nice. You can either apply a really thin layer all over the face or just use it as a targeted spot treatment overnight. Both work amazingly well and calm even the most angry looking of spots!

At £33, a tub, this ain't a cheap mask. It’s possibly one of the priciest of all the face mask’s I own (although Glam Glow is considerably more). I simply cherish it. Each time I use it I love it even more. I know I rave about masks quite a bit, but this one has ticked so many boxes. I definitely recommend it.
