As Zoe is moving this week, I was given the last minute task of interpretation Tamera's glossy bob from this week's X Factor. Obviously I don't have a bob, and I'm not cutting my hair for anyone right now. So I decided to use hair super slick glossy hair as inspiration for a very un-me look. I'm pretty much know for my messy bedhead, and I haven't actually straightened my hair since I was about 19.  The first photo is my hair when it's normal, just blow dried and not styled at all. While pretty straight it's super puffy and frizzy. Here's how I tamed my mane into lovely sleek do. The first photo is my hair when it's normal, just blow dried and not styled at all. While pretty straight it's super puffy and frizzy. Here's how I tamed my mane into lovely sleek do. o while it's pretty easy to do, its something pretty alien to a sleek, straight hair phobe like myself! Using Jamie Steven's X Factor hair tips & TRESemmé Pro Shine I was able to create a similar look to Tamera's.

Step One: First I started off by brushing my hair through to make sure it was tangle free and ready to smooth. I coated the hair in a generous spritz the TRESemmé Pro Shine Heat Styling Primer to help prevent heat damage. My hair is quite damaged to begin with (years of abuse!) so this is good to stop it from getting even more dry!

Step Two: Section the hair off into a top and bottom section. I just ran my fingers around my crown and secured it up with a clip.

Step Three: Take either a rotating hot brush or a round barrelled brush and a blow dryer and start smoothing out the hair. I found this it the perfect base for straightening on top of because it's already nice and sleek to begin with.

Step Four: Using straighteners smooth out the hair to a poker straight look, you could flick the ends out here but I decided to leave them as they were as I felt they suited me better. If I had a little bob like Tamera's I'd definitely flick it under more but when your hair is long it can look a little dated all flicked up.

Step Five: Finish the hair off with a good spritz of the TRESemmé Pro Shine Oil Spritz. This is one of my favourite finishing products at the moment as it gives such a lovely glossy look without feeling greasy or slick.
