Bourjois Magic Nail Polish Remover, Pretty Quik Instant Nail Polish Remover, Quickies Nail Polish Pads

Next up in my Lazy Girls Guide to... is nail polish removal. This might be a bit of a no brainer, but there are a few items that you can buy to make the chore of removal that little bit quicker. If you’re anything like me I always forget to buy either cotton pads or nail polish remover, I have been known to sacrifice an odd sock to take my nail polish off. I thought I'd pick a few one step wonders which do a great job whenever you need a quickie polish change!

First up we have the Bourjois Magic nail polish remover. A beauty bloggeing cult favourite and one of my favourite products of all time. I'm sure I'm not the first to say it’s revolutionised my nail polish removal routine. This little pink padded pot of joy is an absolute must have for anyone from a nail art junkie to a nail polish n00b. It contains a sponge that is soaked in acetone free nail polish remover that you poke your finger in and twist. OK, so maybe it takes a little bit longer than the 1 second nail polish removal it claims on packaging but nothing more than 10 seconds per nail. Maximum.

A cheaper alternative to this would be the Pretty Quik Instant Nail Polish Remover. Which is essentially the same thing as the Bourjois one and costs half the price. It's about half the size, but the technique is the same, insert a finger into the pot which contains and nail polish remover soaked pad and twist. It removes nail polish in the same amount of time as an Bourjois branded version.  I think this smells awful, really really strong nail polish remover scent which lingers a little on the fingers. Personally I prefer the Bourjois one as it smells nicer but for half the price it’s pretty much the same thing. This can be found alongside all the other nail polish removers, where as the Bourjois Nail Polish remover is on the makeup stands with all the other Bourjois Makeup.

Another time saving product which is handy when on the go is Quickies Nail Polish Pads. These are pretty good for removing chipped polish on the go. They are pre soaked nail polish remover pads which come in a little box. It might not be the most glamorous of packaging, they remove the polish effectively and slip perfectly into a handbag. Just be careful about the pads drying out by not putting the lid back on correctly! I've made this mistake more than once!
