Revlon Red, Nails Inc Bruton Mews*, Butter London Marbs*, Barry M Matte Espresso*, Barry M Gelly Hi Shine in Guava

RED: Red is such a classic and it's wearable all year round but I think during Autumn Winter it's definitely one a that is a fail safe. Its definitely worth taking time to find the right red for your skin tone. Not all red's work on every skin tone so a lighter or darker, orange or blue based one might be more appropriate for you. My Pick: Revlon Red

EMERALD GREEN: I'm not a huge green polish fan. It's quite an unwearable shade but for AW13 a predicted bestseller is Emerald Green. I have to admit it's growing on me more than I'd expected it to. I like how deep and dark and gothic it can be without being too "yucky" in tone. My Pick: Nails Inc Bruton Mews

GOLD: Now hear me out, Gold nails are big this season. I think it's so easy to get Gold nails wrong though. Metallic polishes that look good are few and far between. However opulence and grandeur is really big this season. Lots of nails at fashion week's were classic golds with tons of embellishment. I like molton style gold polishes which look like freshly melted gold. My Pick: Butter London Marbs

BLACK: There is nothing like a nod towards the dark side as the nights draw in. Everyone should own at least one good quality black polish. Glossier and opaque the better, however matte is also a big trend for A/W. Black, is sleek and chic while being incredibly understated. My Pick: Barry M Matte Espresso

TEAL: This is probably my wildcard pick of Autmnn Winter nail trends, we all associate bright teals with summer and the beach but they are perfect for the cooler months. Steering away from the darker, deeper shades and taking a nod towards the bright you can really pop an outfit using your nails. It's unexpected but works so well with browns, greys and other neutral shades. Give it a go, you won't be disappointed! My Pick: Barry M Gelly Hi Shine Guava
