tresemme & dinner
(outfit photos by Zoe, Rest are by me)
Im quite enjoying taking my new little camera (Canon Powershot S110) out with me so another sort of lifestyle come outfit post from me. Also gives me the opportunity to share some images from London and the things I get up to more on the blog! I noticed I never really show the things I do in great detail anymore and considering Im always out and about I really should. I didn't enjoy living in London for a while but for some reason Im loving living here again. It is also nice to record these memories I have living here on the blog as I feel I don't keep enough photos of the awesome things I get up to! Plus, hopefully you guys like them too! First off I hit up Starbucks for my favourite drink, an iced sugar free skinny vanilla latte. Try saying that quickly. It's a tongue twister! And as an added bonus my name was spelt right! Although I do go there pretty much everyday and I've spelt it out to them countlessly! Then I headed onto the tube with said Iced Latte and listening to Deja Entendu by Brand new, my favourite album ever. Period.
I tottered around (those shoes are definitely made for standing not walking) Trafalgar Square for a bit, taking a few snaps of my surroundings before heading over to an event. The Tresemme event was held on the rooftop of the Trafalgar Hotel (you might recognise it from Made in Chelsea, Im sure someone had a date there at some point!) It was to celebrate the launch of their new Oil Elixir's. These are dry oils designed to leave your hair looking silky, smooth and shiny. I've not tried these yet but Im sure they'll be featured over on ETCLLYMLRS in due course once I've given them a whirl. The canapés were delicious and the drinks were interesting. A blend of Cognac and Champagne, not quite sold on that yet! But Zoe confirmed the non-alcoholic Apple ones were lovely. The best part was the awesome view of London. You could see everything from the London Eye, the Shard, Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament and all across London. Look at all those flags! Rule Britannia! It was just incredible. While the weather wasn't as nice as it could have been it was really an experience up there! Considering I woke up at half 12 this day I have no idea why I have SUCH GODDAM HUGE UNDER EYE BAGS. De-puff me plz.
Then after all that rooftop fancy-ness, I met a friend for drinks and dinner. We just went to Wagamama as we weren't really up for anything fancy and I just love noodles. I had my usual of the Beef Teriyaki Soba and the Tori Kara Age for a starter. All washed down with a Tiger beer and some Green tea. Perfect. After much gossiping (and moaning) we decided to wander down the Strand and then take a look around Somerset House. I never really go to Somerset House apart from during Fashion Week (which is coming around sooner than I imagined!) and took a few snaps. I did have to resist the urge to run through the fountains because they were just so tempting! It really is a beautiful place to visit at night though!
So that was my evening! Hope you enjoyed my snaps!
