river island aw13 dinner
Last night I went off for dinner with the PR girls from River Island and a bunch of other fashion bloggers to celebrate the new Autumn Winter range which is coming soon to River Island. I didnt actually make it down to their latest press preview so I dont actually have photos from the rage. I do have some press imagery if anyone wanted me to post those on here. I dont normally post things like that so I dont know how intrested people will or wont be! Let me know in the comments. I have embedded one of their Autumn Winter preview adverts so you can get a feel for what you'll be expecting from the brand during the AW Season. Spoiler alert, its awesome. I really like River Island and I say this every year but they really have upped their game and changed their style completely. Long gone are the tacky embellishments or the over use of the River Island logo. Things are chic, style focused and on trend. I have to admit I actually prefer their Autumn Winter ranges to my forever favourite shop, Topshop. I just love their approach to luxe style, mixing fabrics, textures and cut to create a unique but high street friendly range.
Anyway the main reason I wanted to share this was because the experience we had dining was amazing. At first we were taken through a recreation of the backstreets of China, past washing lines, old Chinese newspapers, neon lights and lots of other things. It felt really exciting and different as we were wandering in what I can only imagine is the basement. We were then taken to a large room decorated in the Chinese style. It was absolutely beautiful and exciting, I've never experienced anything like it. We were then treated to a bunch of Dim Sum (my favourite!) and a couple of glasses of wine. Chatted about the new range and caught up with each other. It was a really lovely night and unique compared to anything I've done before in the past!
I'm also obsessed with my leopard print jeans. That is all.
