Today I played my ukulele for a bit before meeting Matt and Dal and heading over to the newly opened Franco Manca in Balham. Dal had been salivating over the place ever since it opened in Balham so we just had to pay it a visit. The pizza's are absolutely out of this world. They are made out of Sourdough which is a fermented type of dough which is left to prove for around 24 hours before being used. This breaks down a lot of the gluten in the dough so that it's suitable for those who are intolerant to gluten should be able to eat this. Can you tell I used to work in a bakery? I highly recommend Franco Manca, its good value and really good pizza too. Much better than you're usual Pizza Express fare. We then went for a few cocktails in Balham, Nowhere classy just Be At One. It was happy hour so me and Dal did half and half on a Cosmopolitan and an Espresso Martini. A few cocktails later and a couple of cans of Pimm's on the Balcony we are now we're just about to head up to North to go to a gig with Emma and Katie. It should be good fun!
