Jouer Matte Moisture Tint: £29
My current base is a mixture of two very different foundations, blended together to make the perfect base. My skin has gone a bit temperamental recently, with a lot of redness coming up on my cheeks and a few spots creeping up on my forehead. I wanted something with good coverage and a soft luminous but also matte finish. Cue my base duo of the Jouer Matte Moisture Tint and the Kevyn Aucoin Sensual Skin Enhancer. The Jouer Matte Moisture Tint is a beautiful light matte tinted moisturiser. The finish is very soft and luminous and it tends to be my go-to base on good skin days. It's easy to apply and brightening while also keeping redness at bay. A lovely everyday foundation. Now in stark contrast the Kevyn Aucoin Sensual Skin Enhancer is an industrial strength, fuller than full coverage foundation. It's very stiff, hard to blend and a nightmare to work with alone. The smallest dot provides absolute full coverage for the whole face. Kevyn Aucoin Sensual Skin Enhancer is best used mixed with something else and I find mixing a small blob in with my Jouer Matte Moisture Tint. The finish is a beautiful luminous, matte medium coverage foundation without any of the cakiness. Popped over my new favourite primer- Laura Mercier Radiance Primer, it's just an absolute dream!
