I've never tried a YSL Glossy Stain before so when I was offered to try the peachy pink perfection which is their YSL Glossy Stain 27 Peche Cerra-Colla I jumped at the chance. It's a fairly milky and sheer shade and I felt on first swipe it looked a touch patchy, but after another layer it evened out and looked lovely. In the tube it looked like a creamy pale peachy pink, but it looks more like a true coral on my lips. While I was sceptical at first how a peachy pink lip stain would look on my super pigmented lips the colour did actually show up on me. This YSL Glossy Stain is the only paler lip tint I've tried that actually adds a bit of colour my to my lips. It's not super pigmented by any stretch of the imagination, it just sort of oranges up my natural lip tone. I really like the luxe YSL packaging and the doe foot applicator picks up and applies product beautifully. The product itself is a very thin, gel like fluid that applies with ease to the lips and then sort of sinks in. The more product you apply the thicker it feels. The gloss lasts a few hours on my lips and then fades down to a tint.
I do like this Glossy Stain, it's the perfect throw on and go type of colour, I've had it in my bag for the past few days and I've been finding myself reaching for it almost daily. While I think it's pricey it is nice and after my last few experiences with YSL cosmetics have been pretty dire (I'm looking at you unopened YSL Touché Éclat foundation) it's restored my faith a little bit!
