my new hair
Redken Extreme Shampoo and Conditioner*, Redken Extreme Anti Snap*, Tresemme Platinum Strength Deep Conditioning Treatment, Wella SP Luxe Oil*, Bumble & Bumble Texture Creme, L'Oreal Elnett Spray in Curls, Ojon Revitalising Flexible Hair SpraySo I popped along to the Headmasters Mayfair salon yesterday to go get my hair done. They kindly offered me a cut and colour so I couldn't turn that down. I hate getting my hair done, so Im always nervous going to a new Salon. But the Headmasters Mayfair salon is really large, spacious and a reply nice space. Ollie Blackerby, Head Art Director at Headmasters was on hand to do my hair, he listened to exactly what I wanted. I basically asked for Cara Delevigne hair, Surprise Surprise, but its pretty much what I always do. I got a head of tiny highlights and then had the rest painted on using a technique called Balayage. Balayage is painted on highlights so they are softer and more blended than traditional ones. Then I had a toner put on my hair and then it was blow dried. I also had it trimmed a bit and shaped around my face. I'm really happy with the final look as it's exactly what I wanted. It's less brown than it was and almost definitely in the blonde camp. I feel my hair looks much fresher and the perfect brightening shade for spring. Big Thank You to Headmasters for the hair appointment
I really like the salon and I would recommend going there. The Mayfair one is easy to get to as it's a short walk from Oxford Circus Tube Station. Headmasters are a chain salon but I really enjoyed my experience there. My flatmate got her hair cut at the Balham salon recently and was very happy with the price (Headmasters always have some amazing deals on! Check them out here!)
As for products I use pretty much the same as the ones I showed in this video I made a few months ago. Recent additions include the Redken Extreme Shampoo and Conditioner, a super nourishing duo designed for dry or damaged hair. It leaves my hair looking and feeling super soft and easy to manage. I've also been adoring the Redken Anti Snap which is also part of the Extreme range from Redken. It's a protein treatment that is applied to wet hair and then blow dried. My hair is always looking so sleek and manageable when I use this. The Tresemme Platinum Strength Deep Conditioning Treatment is my mask of choice at the moment as it does a wonderful job of keeping my hair feeling soft. I was surprised how good this was for such a cheap drugstore hair mask. The Wella Luxe Oil is still a firm favourite in my routine as it's so light and smells SO good! For styling I use Bumble & Bumble Texture creme to the L'Oreal Heat Styling spray in curls to give my hair a bit of texture and hold. Lastly I've been looking the Ojon Revitalising Flexible Hair Spray. Another product that smells absolutely amazing. It's a really light hold spray which is perfect for adding texture without it being too heavy or crispy
