Backstage at Sass and Bide

At London Fashion Week I was invited backstage at the Sass and Bide show with Cloud Nine. They were doing the hair at the show so asked me to go look at how they were styling the models. Hair was done by Renya Xydis,Renya created a soft, messy bun with a pinky edge to contrast the structured tailoring of the sass & bide WINTERGATE collection. The look epitomises the sass & bide girl with relaxed styling wearable for every woman.

To start she prepped the hair with sea salt spray and dried with a blow dryer. Then The O rollers by Cloud Nine were used all over the head to give maximum volume to the hair. Next the new Cloud Nine Waving wand was used throughout the hair to give large textured curls. This was then left to cool and then shaken out and loosened with fingers. The hair was then swooped up into a loose ponytail and twisted into a textured bun. Sections of the hair were loosened to give extra volume and add to the carefree edge.

Makeup was by MAC and the nails were by ORLY. I didn't get a chance to ask any questions related to these looks backstage as it was all a bit manic with all the press! But I know Charlotte Tilbury did the makeup for the show and the look was fresh and healthy looking with a quirky edge. The nails were a beautiful classic red that was seen all over the Catwalks this season.
