glittergasm

I think it's safe to say that I absolutely love nail glitter. When I heard that Ciate were launching a Sequin Manicure set I knew I just had to make a mental note to get one. I have the shade Tutu which is a fancy blend of golds, purples and pinks.

The Sequin Nails set comes with a nail polish called "sequin grip" (I'm not sure if this is actually different from a regular clear polish, a pot of glitter and a small black brush. All you do is paint the nails as normal, add the Sequin grip and then dip the nail into the glitter. Press the glitter onto the nail and then brish away any excess with the brush provided. It does take around 15-20 mins for the glitter to set on the nail but after that it doesn't tend to budge. I have to admit sequin nails are SO messy. Literally the messiest nail product I've ever used. I've been finding flakes of glitter all my bedroom for the past week and it's really driving me a bit crazy. I think the effect is really pretty and defitnely see it as something I'd wear myself. It looks wonderful as an accent nail, but I think doing them all might look a bit OTT. Like Cavair Nails I'd say this is a one or two nights max type polish. It doesnt last particularly long but it's fairly simple to top up if you want to prolong your manicure.

Retailling for £14 I don't think it's that expensive, Obviously its the kind of thing you can probably DIY it if you were more creative than I am. I think this would make a perfect gift for a nail junkie or someone who likes being creative. It's fun and perfect for the party season. Ciate Sequin Nails are available from ASOS.
