I was invited along to a Hair Masterclass at the Schwarzkopf Academy to showcase some of the latest hair trends and celebrate the launch of their new Schwarzkopf LIVE Color XXL Ultra Brights range. The Ultra Brights come in three shades: Fiery Copper, Raspberry Rebel and Pillar Box Red. They have an RRP of £5.49 and are available from Boots, Superdrug, Sainsbury’s, Asda, Savers etc! They are all semi-permanent and last anything from 6-8 washes. Perfect for pre lightened hair or adding tone to existing colours, or just refreshing existing shades. The best thing about these colours is that they all come pre-mixed so you don't need to mess around trying to mix colours to get them ready for application. Simply just apply and wait! These can be mixed with shampoo for a less intense colouring or to help boost a colour once it's been applied.

I wasn’t brave enough to take the plunge and dye my hair a funky colour, I'd only had my hair lightened the previous week and I just couldn’t bring myself to do it. The temptation to return to my emo roots was so hard though. I’m sure it will shock most people, In my life I've had pink, orange, blue and green hair so I’m no stranger to hair brights! We were talked through the big hair trends including dip dye, block colouring and tie dye and shown how to achieve these looks at home using the Ultra Brights Kits.

I think these are perfect for those who are brave enough to add colour to their hair. I think I'm a bit of a whimp these days and it's a shame as I would love to have my hair bright again! They are readily available on the high street so super easy to get hold of! I have a box of the shade Raspberry Rebel and I’m trying so hard not to crack it open and dip dye my locks!
