sleek blush by three: superdrug (£9.99)

crochet, guipure, chantilly

Sleek released these gorgeous palettes few months ago called Blush by 3, A trio of super pigmented blushes in sleek (geddit!) matte black palettes. I chose to test the shade Lace, I had a hard time finding these when they were released. I had to ask a sales assistant to look in the back for me. As all the Superdrug's I'd gone to to had sold out of this particular Blush By 3. I found these Sleek palettes quite hard to get hold of so they must have been immensely popular!

I think Lace is an incredibly wearable blush palette. This trio of blushes has a peachy pink tone, which of course is my favourite types of blush colour! Lace contains the shades Crochet, Guipure and Chantilly. Crochet is glowing orange based peach with a matte finish. Guipure instantly reminded me of Nars Orgasm because it is a peachy pink with a strong shot of gold glitter running thought it. Chantilly is a reddish peach matte blush. I found this to be the most patchy of the three shades and harder to get an even application of colour. I think Guipure is my favourite of the three as personally I prefer a shimmer finish to a matte one. On reflection, it is the only shade I'd imagine I'd use on a regular basis. The others just are not quite right for me. I think the quality is OK but not totally astounding. They are extremely finely milled, pigmented and exceptionally soft. I do not think the lasting power is there compared to other blushes I've used in the past from Sleek. The middle shade Guipure, has the longest wear and the other two would probably need topping up if to to keep the colour. I don't find any of the shades to be stiff or chalky and overall they do apply well, even the matte ones which are notoriously hard to get right!

For £10, I think that it's a genuinely reasonable price for three different pigmented but average wearing blushes! The palette would be perfect for travelling as its quite strong and durable, but the only problem I would say is that if you are only going to use one shade from this its probably worth just buying a Sleek individual blush. I hear Sleek Rose Gold blush is similar to Guipure (another dupe for Nars Orgasm) I might actually try it out one day. Although how many Nars Orgasm dupes do I need, considering I actually have Nars Orgasm?
