Quickie post before I run out the door to events. It has been a long day today, between working on my blogs, catching up on a weeks worth of emails and a submitting project and doing an unexpected phone interview while trying to wrap a present. I think I'm one of those people that thrive on being under pressure, I always seem to get more done when Im rushed! Hopefully going to these events and seeing my pals will a little bit of time to unwind!

This is the dress I wore to my grandparents 50th wedding anniversary party, but decided to wear it again today as I really like it. I didn't wear the leather jacket with it but it's a bit chilly in London today (although it's not cold or rainy!) So I thought I'd pop it on over the top. Initially I was a bit concerned about the dress when I bought it when I was shopping with Emma one day. It has a mumsy feel to it, but I had an inkling it would look better on than off. Which is so right! It has a wonderful neutral paisley pattern and a cute shift dress cut which hits me at the perfect length. I paired it with thick black tights and some flatforms to add to the 60's 70's vibe I was going for. Was a hit with the Grandparents and the family and a big hit with me! Just need to keep working on its cost per wear now! Currently at £35 per wear… EEP!

  15. Your nails remind me of an ice cream with hundreds and thousands for a topper, yum!

FOUND IT! It looks gorgeous on you but I'm not sure its worth £70 - Why is everything in Topshop so ridiculously overpriced these days? Gah.

  16. Looks gorgeous, I love the 60's type of style being made modern! It's very Zooey Deschanel :-)

I would love to buy it but it's sold out in my size boo! Although not sure I'd be able to part with £70... it is real silk though so I imagine it would last forever, that will bring the cost per wear down! Heehee

    Lovely look :-D

  25. I love the dress! So pretty! I do have a question though. I love the leather jacket pairing, but you said it wasn't suitable for your Grandparent's party (I totally understand.). What other type of jacket would you wear with this dress if not the leather one?

    1. I didn't wear a jacket as it was pretty warm! maybe just a blazer? I did wear my massive that I wore here http://www.llymlrs.com/2012/06/scar-tissue.html but took it off as soon as I got to the party
