Today I've just been Christmas shopping online. Which in turn has made brain has stopped working! I stayed up super late reading my Kindle, which cant have helped. I'm currently reading A Storm of Swords by George R.R Martin (a.k.a third book from A Song of Fire and Ice, a.k.a the book version of Game of Thrones on HBO). Im so happy I decided to get a new Kindle, its perfect size, weight and fits in my bag like a dream. Plus I feel like I dont read enough anymore, blogs and magazines dont count!! If your a bit of a booky person, I'd highly recommend one! Especially as christmas is coming. That a really lame Game of Thrones referanced joke. Ha Soz!

Wore this dress to my graduation but its shrunk in the wash so I now have to wear it as a tunic with leggings. I always wear AA leggings, I think I just buy them out of habit and because they are thick and not see through. Should probably explore cheaper options! Where can I get thick, pure black opaque leggings from? Specifically ones that dont go baggy in the waist/crotch/ankles or have that dreaded cringeworthy see throughness when you bend over!

Restocked all the rings on JWLRY! I've also made it so its free UK shipping all of December which is automatically applied at the checkout. Last date to order to recieve before Christmas is the 14th December, So two weeks away, Gosh that seems so soon!

  3. i got great, thick, non see-through leggings from h&m for £9.99! check them out :)

  4. I've found Monsoon/Acessorize leggings to be the most indestructable of leggings! Around the same price as Topshop ones, but don't go see through/get holey dead quick!

  5. Immense nails! Really like the pop of pink also.

I find Topshop are pretty good with leggings. I have a pair from 3 years ago and they don't show through. A woman was walking in front of my the other day and you could just completely see through her leggings, it's not a great look!

Will check out the shop, happy december!

  6. I'd like to try some leggings (I've never bought any as I'm so worried about the see-through bum and baggy crotch thing) so thanks for the heads up on American Apparel!

Lovely colours, shame it shrank... a few of my items have done that too, very annoying when you've worn them so few times!

    Pretty :-)

The colours complement each other beautifully.

  9. Lovely dress :)
H&M leggings are good, the £7.99 ones - I've literally got about 12 pairs - no joke. They're thick, don't go baggy and you can't see knickers or anything when you bend over haha! Hope this helps :) X

  10. You look absolutely beautiful here! It would be great if you could do an updated makeup you wear/apply post :). X

  11. I remember when you posted that you wore this dress for your graduation! I like that it's a subtle colour block, I was never a massive fine of bright colour blocking! If you find cheaper opaque leggings, please let me know :) I need some, all the ones I get have that dreaded - bend over *hello pants* thing! I just love your hair! :)

  12. I buy my leggings from H&M, but make sure you pick up the £7.99 ones and not the £5.99 ones. You usually have to rummage through all of their £5.99 ones to find the thicker versions, they are honestly the best leggings I've ever had and a lot cheaper than American Apparel!

  13. I hate it when clothes shrink. It looks great with leggings though. I can never find decent cheap leggings - I dread to think how much I've spent on cheapo ones that I've thrown away after one wear. x

  14. I love the color-blocking you've got going on, and your heart motif nail art is fabulous. x

  17. I always buy my leggings from H&M. They're nice and cheap (under a tenner!) and if you pick up the thick ones they don't go see through.
I always make sure they pass the bum test when I'm buying them. Ie. I bend over in the changing room and look at my bum. Can't see no knickers, then they're good to go!

  18. I love this colour-block dress, i remember eyeing it up in Miss Selfridge when it came out but the colours just don't suit me! Looks lovely on you though. And i will have to try American Apparel leggings, i hate it when you can see peoples underwear through their leggings in public, cringe. I always make sure i have a long top/tunic on just in case!

  22. I want a Kindle! They're everywhere now, I see them more than books. The sad thing is, is that I don't read other than online articles/blogs. Oops!
Wah, I hate when clothes shrink in the wash, but you can still wear it with leggings at least.
    Loving the rings!

  23. Good leggings are stupidly difficult to find! Warehouse ones are really good - a nice thickness, not seethrough and not shiny, plus they last absolutely ages and are only £14. They don't look very good on the website for some reason, but I promise they are! Love your nails x

  28. Topshop leggings last quite a while, I'd say about 10 months and they're only £12, but still kinda pricey.

You've made me want to try nail wraps so bad!

And your outfit is one of my faves I've seen on you, I think because of the colours :)

  30. Such a lovely outfit, the colours of the dress are so pretty, and your nails! AA leggings are so good the high waisted ones are such a dream, I always buy mine from New Look 9-15 at the minute (they are plenty long enough surprisingly) because they are literally the cheapest option at about £4.00. They're pretty opaque and last months before tearing/bagging but probably not as opaque as you want?!

  31. i find Avon do the best leggings! they're 'support leggings' but they're so thick and comfy, and they don't lose shape. I find some leggings tend to go baggy especially round the knees but these one's are brilliant, you should definitely check them out! They're about £12 at the moment x

    ReplyDelete
  32. Aww I love this outfit, you look really girly and pretty :) Your nails are fab too!! My favourtite leggings were from Miss selfridge and they literally lasted me years, they weren't uber cheap though, but more than likely cheaper than American Apparel

  34. I love the game of thrones! Really want to read the books but loved the tv series. I like H&M leggings, reasonably cheap, (I think £5.99) but relatively long lasting and don't really go see through or baggy at the ankles (or knees, I hate it when leggings go baggy at the knees, or is this just me who it happens to?) Love the dress. xo

  41. I may be biased because I work there, but I highly recommend oasis leggings! They're £14 and really soft and don't go see through. Get a size smaller than normal though.. I'm a 12 but I buy size s leggings from there! I also really want a kindle too! But best wait until I've finished uni or its just another distraction!!
