L'oreal Superliner Carbon Gloss
Yes, another eyeliner review! But its my thing right? I'm a pro when it comes to doing flicked cat eyes as I've probably worn my eye makeup the same since I was 16. So I really find it baffling when people struggle with applying eyeliner!
L'oreal Super Liner Carbon Gloss is probably my favourite "drugstore" liquid eyeliners. I've been using since I was about 15. In my local Boots years ago they reduced them heavily which freaked me out as I thought they might be discontinuing them and I ended up buying 6! Im very loyal to products I really do like and its been one of my go-to, must have and repurchased products I've ever tried. For some reason over the last year I stopped using it, So when there was 3 for 2 on makeup in Boots a while ago I repurchased it.
I love the applicator on this eyeliner, its really long, soft and spongy so it makes it so easy to do a flick, the pointed tip means you can get a nice thin flick at the end. But because its flimsy you can apply various pressure to get a thick or a thin line. Its very black and glossy too, one of the blackest drug store eyeliner I've bought. I find it does fade a little over the course of the day, but it can be fixed my a quick reapplication. My only gripe with this eyeliner is that the first sign on wetness or rubbing and its gone. I do have sensitive eyes so occasionally they get a bit watery, so I find wearing this can be a bit risky!
Id say this is a good one for beginners, it set me onto the path of winged eyeliner-ness! I know there is a bit of a knack to getting it right but its worth it because I think there is nothing more classic than a neutral eye with a flick of liner!
I typically wear liquid eyeliner with a long sponge tip applicator. My "Holy Grail" is Illamasqua Precision Ink. Qualities I look for in eyeliner are really opaque dark black eyeliner that doesn't fade or go grey as its worn, water resistant, smudge proof, quick drying and non-irritable on sensitive eyes
