even more holiday outfits 2012

L- (daytime/town centre): Monki Dress, Primark Necklace, New Look Sandals (old)
R- (evening): New Look Bralet, Topshop Skirt, Primark Sandals, Primark Belt, River Island Necklace*

Even more holiday outfits… I didn't think I'd say this but Im getting a bit bored of the hot weather clothes. I really just don't love them in the way I love dressing for winter, I don't feel myself in someways even though most of these outfits in this particular post are things I would actually wear at home! Oh how I long for a scarf or a fur coat! Hand me my winter boots right now and I'll be happy! My favourite outfit from these four has to be the 4th one, I love this New Look bralet that I picked up before I went away. Obviously it wasn't in the sale when I bought it, I swear everything I like goes into sale! Which to me suggests the clothing I like isn't very popular… Oops! Oh well, the bra let is really nice and structured and gives a really flattering shape. Although it was a bit tight after a few too many holiday treats! Turkish flat bread is to die for, not to mention the ice cream! YUM!

PS. Mulberry winner will be put up on MONDAY!

giveaway- mulberry purse

I've republished this as there are two days left for this giveaway! Winner will be announced on the 30th! I have another giveaway coming up after that too!

So this is my big birthday giveaway that I've been harping on about for weeks! For my blogs third birthday I'm giving a way a genuine Mulberry purse! Like I mention in the video I really wanted to giveaway the same purse as I have (I showed it here) but the logistics and the fact I know not everyone likes pink as much as me. I cheekily mentioned "I" wanted to get a new Mulberry purse a few weeks ago, but had a few replies on the subject. However I ended up going with a classic shaped black one. Mulberry Locked Long Purse is described by Mulberry as a timeless and classic piece with their iconic Postman's Lock fastening. It has space for 8 credit cards and two additional sections for notes or receipts as well as a zipped coin compartment purse.

I did think about the pros and cons about giving something designer away, as it doesn't fit with my "high street" attitude towards blogging. I don't really wear designer clothes, although I have two designer bags. I personally see myself at an age where I like trend led, fast, high street fashion, but I'm starting to invest more in designer key pieces. Plus Mulberry is such an iconic British brand it just fit really well with how I see myself and my blog. I paid for this with my own money after putting a little aside each month for the past 6 or so months as I KNEW it was the one thing I wanted to giveaway. I know I'm probably not going to be able to top this as a giveaway prize in the future but it's a special occasion! I really hope you like it and Best of luck!

It only occurred to me after I filmed this video that I didn't consider Vegans or Vegetarians or anyone who doesn't agree with leather. I am so sorry about being such a dunce and not thinking about this prior! I wholeheartedly apologise if you can't enter because of this, but I do giveaways pretty frequently (about every two weeks) so fingers crosse there will be something more suitable for you! Like I said, SO sorry!

You don't need to enter via ALL of the methods to be in with a chance to win the giveaway, the only mandatory is to be a follower of this blog. I chose to give more entries to anyone who tweets because I feel its more promotional therefore you should have a better chance of winning than someone who doesnt.
- Giveaway ends on Midnight 29th June (GMT)
- Open to anyone and everyone! (+ International Readers!)
- There will be ONE winner!
- You need to enter through the Rafflecopter form, any comments will not count as entries.
- Winner will be chosen using Rafflecopter.
- If winner does not reply within three days the prize will be passed to another person.

More holiday outfits. Sorry some of them are blurry and awful quality, I seem to have forgotten how to use my camera in the heat. Shocking. Other than that all is well here. So hot, although I hear its supposed to be 26C in London tomorrow! Was crazy windy earlier though! A few of the umbrellas actually blew out of their stands, causing my brother to run off chasing after one! It then took four men to try and work out how to close the umbrella (men hey!).

I am currently on Holiday in Turkey until the 4th JULY. This is a scheduled post, Although I will be blogging while I am away, I won't be reading and replying to things until I return to the UK! Hope the weather is not too bad!
llymlrs holiday sunglasses

one: Girl props
two: Primark (old, may have been re-released)
three: stolen off my mum (probably primark)

Taking four pairs of sunglasses might be excessive to take on Holiday for two weeks. But Im a big believer in the fact you really do need to protect your eyes from the sun. I wear them constantly on holiday for a variety of things including the fact I get really bad hay-fever and at the end of the day I'm just one big diva (cough cough no makeup, look terrible).  Make sure when your looking at Sunglasses check they offer good protection for your eyes! Sunglasses are supposed to protect your eyes from the harmful UVA/UVB rays that the sun gives out so it's SO important to get ones that offer adequate protection! For more information on sunglasses and eye protection see here.

I suit sunglasses that are either round or have a slight cat eye to them. I think it's really important to find sunglasses that suit you face shape rather than ones that are the latest "trend"! My favourite pair of sunglasses has to be my Girl Props Half Tints I've had them for years now and they are my favourites to wear. Probably more a fashion piece than ones that are going to protect my eyes (although they do have UVA/UVB Protection, they are awkward to wear!). The green Primark pair is one of my all time favourites too, I've had these for around 2 years and still  going strong. I bought them in the sale but I'm sure they've been re-released. I've pinched one pair off my Mum but Im sure I'll get them taken off me once we get to Turkey! The River Island ones are recent additions to my Sunglasses collection, for a tenner they aren't too shabby! I really like River Island sunglasses although some of their offerings this year are slightly questionable! I'm probably also going to buy some Ray Ban Wayfarers at the duty free as I've been wanting some real ones for years now but never had the funds to get some!

PS. Note from Holiday- My Girl Props sunglasses have actually cracked and melted in the sun, I've worn them in Turkey for the last three years and it's never happened before so I don't really understand why its happened this time! The weather was around 37C-ish at this point!

holiday outfits 2012

R- (breakfast/pool outfit): Primark Shorts, H&M Boob Tube, New Look Sandals (old)

Some "what I wore today" style snaps from my holiday so far. Sorry they aren't to my usual ~llymlrs style~ but there was no way I was going to try cramming my Tripod (as Im asked alot, its unbranded and given to me by my uncle so I can't recommend one!) into my suitcase.  Although I did consider getting the family to take some, It was just easier and stress free to do it myself!

I always post my evening outfit's on Instagram (@llymlrs) each night alongside my mother but there are a few day ones thrown in this post too for good measure. I don't try TOO hard to look nice on holiday during the day, although I don't really make much effort at home but thats a matter of opinion! I know people like a bit of holiday inspiration as in the UK our weather is so terrible we hardly get to experience summer clothes! I never know what to wear AT all so I spend the weeks prior to my holiday in a "WHAT DO I WEAR" panic! Although I typically wear a dress or a playsuit in the evening and my River Island Flatforms (the only heels I bought with me!) and then some sort of baggy dress or shorts and vest top combination for the day time around the pool or on the beach! These photos aren't in order so you can really see my tan development yet, Im sure the next batch you can see just how dark I get in the sun! One good thing about my strange olivey skin tone is that I tan really well without burning or going red.

The green fluro bracelet Im wearing in most photos is a insect repellent bracelet, this is the one I have. I don't know how well it's working as I'm covering myself in rellepent as Im severely allergic to bites but I haven't had any so far.

sunday portrait week 130

milley (my sister) too this photo of me, was the best of the bunch unfortunately haha

001. To be honest I nearly forgot it was even Sunday here in Turkey! Like I always say Im a stickler for routine so not doing my "normal" things means I have no idea what day it is! I can't believe I've been here in Turkey for almost 5 days already it's completely flown past! Although as you can imagine being 22, used to living alone and then going on holiday with your family is a bit of hard work! The weather is incredible here, yesterday it was a whopping 37C but it's a somewhat "cooler" 30C today!

002. Today I spent some time off my sun bed to edit some outfit photos to post next week! In the same style as the holiday outfits I did last year (which you can see  herehere and here) I've been doing a few snaps of an outfit before I leave my room so I should have some actual fashion related content for next week! I personally find it so hard to dress for summer and hot weather as Im a total winter person!

003. Tonight my Holiday makeup consists of MAC Select Moisture Cover, MAC Mineralize Skin Finish Natural, Bobbi Brown Bronzer in Aruba,  17 Glow Pink Bronze Shimmer Brick for eyes, Look Beauty Blush in Flirt, Bobbi Brown Gel eyeliner and Nars Bolero Lipstick. Suprisngly this holiday I've been embracing the no makeup during the day look. I never not wear makeup at home as I'm pretty much sure no one would recognise me if I didn't. Mainly thanks to my improved skincare and the fact I got eyelash extensions again I feel confident to go without it! Last year I wore the Laura Mercier Tinted moisturiser and the Bare Minerals SPF35 Mineral sunscreen, but I've just been reaching for a regular facial SPF. But I cant resist wearing it at night, Baby steps! My hair is so dry from the heat and the bleach all I can think about is going home and using copious amounts of hair oil and a hair mask or ten!

004. Any giveaways I've been running will be sorted once I get back. This included the Jolie Box one and the Benefit Mini's. I just didn't have time to chase things up with the winners or the companies before I left. My Mulberry purse giveaway also finishes while I'm away (29th June, so five days time) so it is likely that won't be announced until I get back to the UK on the 5th, possibly later depending on when I go back to London!

...And Im sure you're all fed up of me talking about my Holiday and how fab it is, But I hope everyone is having fun in the UK! Jealous of everyone who's at Isle of Wight (maybe not the muddiness) or even the Radio One Big Weekend! If you're not in the UK (I seem to forget a large portion of my readers aren't from the UK and I really apologise for that!) I hope you're having a wonderful weekend too! Big love to you all (:

Daisy Street recently sent me a pair of their incredibly cute Kitty flats. Inspired by the Charlotte Olympia Kitty Flats which retail for a whopping £485, The Daisy Street version are very similar for a much more purse friendly price of £21. I've had my eye on a pair like this for a while now and even included them in a wish list so was happy when I spotted these on their website when they offered me a pair of shoes to review. I'm very happy with the shoes, they give me "the look" without breaking the bank. Daisy Street Shoes sell a variety of designer inspired and high street style shoes at very reasonable prices. Including fairly good dupes of my beloved Topshop Allegeras and lots of Lita style shoes for those who can brave the height of them!

what i wore on the plane

tee: topshop
jumper: topshop
jacket: river island*
shoes: clothing at tesco*
starbucks iced decaff coffee

A quickie post to show you what I wore on the plane to Turkey. I cut my head off as it was just too horrifically early for me to look half decent in the hair and face departments! I wore my Topshop loose knit jumper (worn here) with a Topshop speckled tee under it (worn here), paired with a River Island Kimono jacket and some American Apparel Leggings. My good ol' American Apparel leggings are way to big for me since my legs slimmed down from the gym so they look super baggy! I get asked alot  about the size of these leggings, but Im a size 10 and wear a small at the moment, but when I bought these I was still a size 10 but a medium as I was a bit bulkier in the hips and legs. I think it depends on your shape and your build which size you order! My charcoal American Apparel leggings are a XS and still fit me.

I have to admit this "look" is a bit sloppy, and I'd never wear something like this IRL.The Kimono was a last minute addition as I knew once I got to Turkey I'd be boiling (it really was, 32C today!) But I also wouldn't have sunscreen on and there was a super long transfer time. I decided I need something to make sure I didn't get burnt and just throw on. I wasn't sure if I liked the kimono at first and even posted on Instagram/Twitter but it has grown on me since. I'm going to cut the tassels off the arms as I think they look a bit too long when I get home (or if I can dig out my scissors while I'm here!). I still haven't unpacked my suitcase to find things!

Anyway, this post is SO getting a bit rambly but Im having a lovely time over here! Currently sitting in my Hotel room eating Pringles and watching a Turkish soap. I love watching soaps in languages I don't understand, its hilarious how you can get the general gist of whats going on without knowing a word! I've been taking snaps of things so I'll do a roundup as well as some outfit posts. Mum (MMMYMLRS) and I talked about doing outfit of the night photos for Instagram and we did our first last night, so follow me on there if you wanted to see (@llymlrs)!

brb turkey

suitcase: present from mother
bag: zara
jumper in bag: topshop

BYE EVERYONE! Although I'm probably already going to be in Turkey by the time this posts as we have a early flight. I'll be back around the 5th or 6th depending on what day I come back to London after the Holiday! Do feel free to email me while I am away though, I just won't be getting back till after I return. I've put my out of office on my emails so any general emails, PR stuff and whatnot will get that back but I'll try and get back in the game as soon as possible! I have a few scheduled posts and I'll try and keep the content levels as normal as possible because to be honest I'll be bored if I don't post! Going to have to teach a member of the family to use my SLR!

Stay safe!

spots and stripes

tunic: asos
leggings: american apparel via asos*
jacket: river island
bag: zara
belt: primark
necklace: river island*
rings: forever 21
cuff: H&M
shoes: asos*

Today I'm off up to Manchester today to meet the rest of the family before we fly out to Turkey tomorrow morning. We have a super early 5am flight so Mum decided to get a Travelodge so it would be easier for us all to get there! I'm not sure what Im flying in tomorrow as of me scheduling this post. I normally wear leggings a vest and then a jumper because its always so cold on the plane the boiling when you get off! Im sure it will look a little bit like this though, maybe not the same coat!

I am taking my Zara messenger bag as my on flight bag though. Although its slowly falling apart as I've used it so much since I bought it. The bag fits my Macbook Air, Kindle and makeup in perfectly. I get so paranoid about lost luggage (paired with the fact Im hideous without makeup) that I always take my makeup and skin stuff as carry on as it's my most precious thing! I'll be doing a post on ETC when Im away with the stuff Im taking with me. I'm testing some waterproof makeup, SPF and lots of bronzers!

Not quite sure my hand looks so round and claw like in the right hand top photo! Oh well!

one hundred fires

dress: topshop via ebay
belt: primark
jacket: primark (off)
scarf: primark

Gosh, I didn't realise the time! It's been one of those days thats totally flown by without even realising it. I got my eyelash extensions done again today which I loooovee and finished up all my loose ends before going away on holiday. Im also somewhere near completely packed, I still need to sort out my hair products  You can see my new hair a bit better in these photos as it's not as curly as I did it in the other photos from when I first showed it off. Still loving it though! Much softer, prettier colour!

I just wore this simple striped red dress and a black belt with tights and my leather jacket. I bought this faux McQueen scarf from Primark to take away with me but thought I'd wear it today as I liked the *cringe alert* rock-y edge *cringe alert* it gave the outfit. It occurred to me recently I haven't been buying much from Primark as its way too hard to shop in ones in London. I didn't realise how lucky I was back home and going to the quiet large Primark in Telford! I now realise what people mean when they sat "I can't believe you got that in Primark, I never find anything"! I was wayyy too spoilt before! However I've picked up a few nice bits recently which Im sure once I return from my hols I'll be showing off!
