LUSH Mothers Day Collection*

Oohhh Look, Another Lush Collection coming in hard and fast. This time it’s the LE Mothers Day Collection. I’ll say right off the bat this collection doesn’t excite me all that much. I guess it’s not aimed at me but last year’s Lush Mothers Day offerings were a struggle to pass on! Typically their LE stuff gets me super excited but this is just a little off for me.

First up I have the Love Your Mum Soap, which is a floral shaped soap with mimosa, jasmine and bergamot notes. I think it smells really floral and “musty” and the shape looks a bit odd, like very cheapy looking. The Yummy Mummy Body Conditioner and Yummy Mummy Shower Gel are really unique smelling. Sweet but floral at the same time. It’s actually quite a strange mixture of scents I think as it’s nice but… different? It’s a blend of strawberry juice and murumuru (whatever that is) and it has a odd heady floral scent. The formula of the Body Conditioner is amazing, like super nourishing on my dry elbows and knees!

Rose Bombshell is... obviously a rose scented bath bomb. Packed with body softening soya milk powder and orange flower notes it creates a dreamy rose sent around the body. Very Luxe. Another bath-y product is the Mother Superior Bubbleroon which I thought looked like Snorlax in photos but mine looks a bit squished! This has a delicate floral scent, think cherry blossoms in spring! I can’t wait to crumble this into a bath!

I know this is the kind of collection that my Mum personally wouldn’t like all that much, But I can see why they've gone down the Spring-y Floral route. It all feels very safe… and I guess mummy. None the less I do think Lush is a fun and safe option to give to your Ma on Mothers day. If it’s this specific Mothers Day Collection or not, it’s still a great alternative to Flowers!
