the weekend : toms kitchen
27 Cale Street, Chelsea, London SW3 3QP
Today me and the Gang headed over to Toms Kitchen Chelsea for a Breakfast/Brunch extravaganza. Waking up early at the weekends is always a challenge for us so we rarely go for breakfast. To start off we all had coffee’s - I had an Americano and so did Dal, Matt had a latte. The coffee was smooth and delicious and I was very very impressed. At this point we knew we were in for a treat. A good coffee is always the sign of a good breakfast.
For breakfast I had a sausage sandwich which was perfect. The sausages were chubby and meaty set between super thick slices of bread. Dal had a poached egg with a ton of other goodies and she kept going on about how the eggs were the best she’d ever tasted. "Look at that yolk!" she exclaimed! Matty really loved his English Breakfast and wolfed it down like a proper lad. We expected nothing less from him but i assume his lack of vocality was because he liked it. Me and Matt also shared blueberry pancakes with maple syrup - which were tasty and so thick. It was literally like one big cake. It would have been too much for one but it’s perfect for sharing. The place was packed out so I do recommend booking in advance. So many people were turned away in the time we were there. The service was quick and efficient and we had no problems with changing orders when we couldn’t decide what we wanted.
I really recommend Toms Kitchen, it's a really lovely open space, which while it was packed with people it didn't feel too loud or too cramped. I thoroughly enjoyed the place and will be heading back some time soon for sure.
