Thierry Mugler Angel Eau Sucrée review swatch photo

I think the fact that I got Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess perfume recently it made me completely forget about Thierry Mugler Angel Eau Sucrée. I thought that I’d hate it when I read the press release as I'm SUCH a woody or citrus kinda gal, but this has blown my mind. It's so different and unique.

Thierry Mugler Angel Eau Sucrée is sweet, like seriously sweet. I still haven’t actually had a whiff or Thierry Mugler Angel despite it being such an iconic fragrance in the beauty world. This perfume has notes of raspberries, meringue, vanilla and patchouli. It’s fresh and fruity with a slight chocolaty undertone. Girly and pretty, fizzy and youthful. The packaging reminds me of sweets and confectionary with it's pretty blue and white candy stripes. The star shaped bottle is dotted with glitter which looks like sugar sprinkles. Very good-looking. The only thing I don’t like is that it doesn't stand up and only lays flat. I know that's a little pernickety, but it’s such lovely packaging I’d prefer to have it on display. Oh, and lasting power is a bit iffy but not disappointing compared to some perfumes. I feel like it opens up really strong (fruity/sorbet) then mellows down to the meringue notes, falling slowly towards the base notes of vanilla.

So yeah, I was pleasantly surprised by this, in fact I REALLY like it. I'd not ordinarily give something this sweet a chance but I'm so glad I did. It's seriously yummy and definitely worth a spritz next time you are in a perfume department!
