I went to Paris early yesterday morning on a Press trip with Clarins, and I was back by 4pm today. It was my first trip to Paris, so it was quite surreal trying to do it all in such a short amount of time. I went with Milly, Ruth and Ree, and I don’t think we stopped laughing for the whole trip. Some of the best company a girl could ask for! Talking about all sorts from bum & boob-age massages to things I just cant repeat on the blog!
The reason I went was to pop along with Clarins to see their Lab - where they make and design all the products from the range. Literally, it was huge vats of all sorts from bath oils to lipsticks! More on that on my beauty blog in a few days when I can gather my thoughts to actually write something half decent. But it was really interesting and insightful - unfortunately I couldn’t take any photos so we’ll have to wait for the official ones to be released as well but for now bask in the awesome Mad Scientist outfit we had to wear including my gorgeous (ahem) snakeskin blue steel toed shoes… ahem. Surprisingly I think I pull them off alright! These were legit the shoes all the women employee's of the Clarins factory have to wear. I have no idea why they are shiny, but hey they work!
Me and Milly went off on a literally 2 n' half hour tour which included two shopping destinations, Notre Dame, The Eiffel Tower, The Louvre and a ton of other sights in Paris. We fitted shopping in at City Pharma and Sephora (srsly, come to the UK already!), Haul coming soon most likely! It was a really quick round trip and we were dashing in and out of everywhere, but our driver was literally the best! Showing us all the hot spots and places of interest, including that infamous Parisain tunnel. Which I found incredibly eerie. I fell over in the Notre Dame Cathedral which was incredibly embarrassing seeing as everyone around me was praying and I was tittering in the corner like a schoolgirl. I cant believe how much we packed into just two and a bit hours, it's really wet my appetite to go again.
Oh and if you were wondering we stayed in Hotel Costes. It was really nice but very dark and had a very french brothel vibe but not in a bad way! Really hard to explain ha! I liked it thought, and I’d definitely stay there again. Even if you dont stay there then I'd really recommend the restaurant part of the building. The food is seriously good - like next level. With a mix of the usual french fare and then a selection of other dishes.
As I said it was my first ever trip to Paris despite being a seasoned Frenchie. I’m booking another trip as I type. There's so many things I want to do in Paris, and this has really wet my appetite for the French capital. I’m sure I’ll be back within the next few months!
*diiiiinnggg* There's my dinner! Peace out!
