TOPSHOP FUR COLLAR COAT
I’ve been eyeing up this top since Patricia picked it for another project we both worked on (more on that another time). I loved the beading and velvet detailing, there was just something about it that made me want to base my whole look around it. Initially was going to pair it with a skirt but as it’s cold and I just didn’t feel right wearing a cropped top with a skirt. While I definitely don't have the tum for showing too much stomach cleavage, but I do think a little hint of flesh is a nice subtle flash. I always think showing too much flesh can be too much and not sexy at all. Plus its something I feel more comfortable with than having my belly jiggling everywhere! Therefore, I went for high rise trousers instead. With a few umm’s and aah’s I decided on some printed tartan trousers as well as they are really big at the moment and totally seasonal. I would say size up in these as they are definitely on the small size!
I can’t get enough of this metal bag either which is a wonderful statement piece for the party season. I love the snakeskin finish, and it really adds a touch of vintage glamour to the outfit. I also styled it with strappy platform heels, a fedora and a luxe furry collared coat. It has a real 70's come 90's vibe to the outfit which I really love!
Im off for fancy drinks in central with an old friend tonight so I thought this was the perfect mix between casual and party wear. We're going to a bar thats a bit glam, but I didn't fancy the whole dress thing. But the jewelled top and jazzy clutch really give the outfit a more jazzy edge. This is a brat day to night outfit too as I could have easily thrown a jumper over the top to wear during the day then whipped it off for the evening time.
