I thought today, I'd finally get around to sharing some snaps and a video from a shoot that I did with Miss Selfridge a few months ago. One hot summer morning, I was woken up early and whisked over to a studio in Tower Hill. I was asked by the brand Miss Selfridge to be part of a blogger shoot for their upcoming collection: The Collective. I was shooting alongside two mega babes Olivia & Emily, so I knew right off the bat this was going to be a good shoot. The idea behind the shoot was to bring some of our own items to style alongside that of the collective. It was fun because we all have such radically different styles, but it was exciting working out how we could interpret the Collective to our own personal looks.

I had such a good day shooting, despite it being boiling hot as it was the height of summer. As we were doing all these autumn winter inspired looks. I spent most of my time in front of a huge industrial sized fan with my skirt blowing everywhere. (so un-ladylike!). Above are some snaps included a vlog that I did of the day if you were interested in seeing things in a more moving medium! I just wanted to catch a good overview of the day. You can also watch it on my Youtube channel here.

The Collective landed a few weeks ago, and it's a collection of luxe style staples. Ranging from layered dresses, pops of colour, midi leather skirts to jogger pants. It's right up my street with the mix of classic basics and luxury style statement pieces in a predominantly monochrome palette with a colour pops. My key picks were a faux leather bomber jacket, a chartreuse cami and the white mid heel steel toe capped shoes. In fact, there is a lot of stuff from the range that I need in my wardrobe asap. The thing that draws me in most with The Collection is that all the pieces can be worn in so many ways. It's chic, easy and very simple to mix and match with. With my new initiative to buy less and wear more I've been noticing gaps in my wardrobe where style staples need to go, and this collection has a ton of gap fillers. Bottom line is. Stylish basics are really worth investing in.
