DNKY Be Delicious Skin EDT review swatch photo
DKNY Be Delicious Skin: £39*

I've admittedly never tried Be Delicious, despite it being a very iconic perfume from the past couple of years. It's one of those instantly recognisable fragrances that I always notice when perfume shopping but have never actually tried for myself. I've always been drawn to the packaging, its pretty, sleek and really attractive. It fits right in on my dresser with the rest of my fancy perfumes. The scent is fresh and uplifting and very crisp, just like I'd imagine an apple perfume to smell. I don't find it too overwhelming but to be it has a very "classic" feel to it. Like slightly musky, but I find it to smell quite strong of vanilla or cucumber with a hint of apple. Not as apple-y as I expected, but it's very nice. It's a charming, youthful fragrance, and I can see why it's quite an iconic perfume from DKNY. This version isn't as fragranced as as traditional perfume as the concentration of scent is much less than your average EDP. However the same scent for the EDP is used, just in a much smaller dose to allow for the skincare friendly ingredients.

However the difference with this Be Delicious Skin fragrance is that it claims to have skin benefits in it. As far as being a hydrating perfume I am very intrigued. I can't understand how it works despite reading the press release over and over again. It basically says its a blend of different things that benefit hydration. Which means the stuff inside it is supposed to hydrate and nourish your skin, what these are apart from being described as an "Apple Fusion Complex" I don't know. I'll have to report back on that one as I still can't quite get my head around it. But in all, a good perfume. Safe, simple to wear and easy on the nostrils!
PS. Spot me in the reflection!
