The whole embellished collared shirts was pretty big last year but I never really got into it. I think the fact that it was mainly sheer shirts (my arch nemesis!) that seemed to have these beautiful highly decorated collars. However there was something about this top that caught my eye when browsing ASOS and it made it's way into my saved items list (which is forever growing unfortunately!).  The material is odd, sort of like blazer material but it feels quite nice and chunky and compliments the collar well. I couldn't really think what to pair with it apart from my much loved Primark pleather skirt, Hardly a very inspired choice but I'm fairly happy with how the look came out! My recent fear of anything short means I wore it A LOT lower on my hips that I used to, but the joy of skirts like this means I can pull it up/down as I need to. I really like the 60's retro sort of look at the moment and I can definitely see that being a look I might carry forward onto spring. I can already see the types of clothes I'd love to be wearing… lets hope the highstreet realises my dream!

Apologies for my oh so moody facial expressions today, not sure quite why I couldn't crack my usual smirk or attempt to smize at least a tiny bit. Big glasses are life savers on days when Moody Melrose rears her ugly head!
