I mentioned yesterday I bought this top in all the colour ways they do because I couldn't decide which one I liked the best. To be fair I think I'm going to keep them all as I absolutely love the fit of the top. Its like a mix between a dress and a tunic, longer than most tunics but it might be a bit too short to wear without tights. The open shoulder one sleeved look gives the item a bit of edge. Gah I just love it! Im also wearing some charcoal coloured American Apparel leggings that I bought when I got my disco pants. I always wear my shiny nylon tricot leggings in black and after seeing some other bloggers in the Charcoal disco pants I though I'd buy the leggings. I've never worn non black legging but I actually quite like the way they look with a black top. Im not sure what else to wear them with though! Any suggestions are welcome!

Every year Glamour team up with Benefit to produce the best miniatures as GWP with purchasing the magazine. For 2012 it was no different. This year they have offered up Benefit BadGal Lash, Benefit That Gal Primer and Benefit The Porefessional, All in cute sample size packaging. I've used Bad Gal lash before and really liked it and Porefessional is one of my must have products. I've never tried the That Gal Primer, but Im excited to try it out as I'm very into illuminating primers at the moment. Each magazine costs £2 and according the Glamour they tot up to around £35 retail value, which I personally don't think is right but to be fair they are great little mini's. Im going to be taking the three on holiday with me as they are the perfect size for travelling in the summer season!

I purchased all three mini's for myself, even though I have a full size The Porefessional (its one of my MUST have products) but also picked up a trio of magazines and products to giveaway. I know that these normally are so hard to find so when I saw two lots of all three gifts I knew I should get one set to giveaway. Of course I left some on the shelf, unlike the lady next to me who took all the Instyle Body Shop Mascaras! Enter below via the Rafflecopter form under the cut, Comment entries don't count!
Glamour magazine costs £2 and is available in most newsagents. The GWP's come with the July 2012 copy of the magazine which is out from the 31st May. I suggest trying smaller, local stores if you're looking for the freebies. I looked in my local WHSmith (someone had cleared the shelf) and Sainsbury's (again cleared the shelf) But I checked in my local corner shop and they had a fair amount left. So if you're struggling to find them I highly recommend checking small corner shops or locally run ones!

Origins Clear Improvement Mask

Origins Clear Improvement Mask: Origins/Debenhams (£19)

Origins Clear Improvement is a charcoal based mask that claims to draw out all the impurities from clogged pores. The Active Charcoal in the mask is supposed to suck out all the impurities from under the skin and bring them to the surface. Living in London has made my blackheads a lot worse with all the pollution and dirt in the air, so I needed something that draws out all the dirt from under the skin. I naturally went with Origins as most of my skincare is actually from there. They recommended the Origins Clear Improvement Mask to be used after exfoliation and after I've opened up all my pores with a hot flannel.

I've been using this once a week to try and clear up some of my more congested areas like my nose and my chin. I try not to use it too much all over my face as I don't really need it on the outer parts of my face. Like the other Origins products I use I feel like this actually works. It's not one of those instant gratification products, it doesn't completely change your skin after one use. But I've used it once or twice a week for four weeks now and I have noticed my problem areas look a little better. Nothing drastic but I don't really expect anything to completely clear my skin out! A good product but I wouldn't say its essential or a skin saving skin product. I think I prefer the other Origins Mask for active breakouts, and this one is more about purifying the skin and trying to draw out the yuckiness that lurks beneath!

Skincare Disclaimer: I personally think skincare is incredibly subjective. I'd never run out and get something on the suggestion of one person. What works for me, may not work for you. I personally don't feel comfortable recommending skincare products, so all reviews are based on my own experiences with the product mentioned. Remember to look up other reviews and make sure you reference the reviewers skin type. My skin is Oily-Combination. I don't tend to get breakouts, but when I do they are on my chin. Also, cutting out dairy from my diet has also improved my skin of late.

An outfit from last week I think, I wore this to a meeting about Galaxy Essential Upgrades. I was out the house most of the day today so I didn't have much time between gym, working on some projects and then rushing out to meet Emma. Im pretty slim but also curvy so Im finding it hard to adjust to having a bit more of my thighs on show. However I quite like how they look with this top, It covers all the bad areas (my stomach is my problem area) but still looks cute and fresh. I never really wear red, but I actually quite like the way it looks on me. I think red is notoriously hard to wear anyway but it adds a nice "POP" of colour! Maybe I'm slow getting back into colour, who knows! I blame the weather!

This post was scheduled but didn't actually post so I though I'd update you on my afternoon. I went to the Debenhams Press day which was nice and I bumped into a few bloggers which was nice! Then me and Emma went shopping for a bit and I got a few tops (I got all the colours apart from the grey) from Topshop and a dress to wear to my Granny & Grandad's 50th Wedding anniversary next week! Then we met Kate and we all then FINALLY went to Meat Liquor which was incredible but I am SO full right now! I highly recommend going if you're not vegetarian and in central London! It is very reasonably priced for a restaurant so close to Oxford Street. I then proceeded to smash my iPhone screen walking down Oxford Street, considering I've had my new 4s for about 3 months, Im pretty annoying but fingers crossed my step brother will be able to fix it when Im home next week. He's pretty savvy when it comes to replacing broken screens! Im now home and drowning my sorrows in a box of Lola's cupcakes! Oh well! YOLO ;)

Today I've been procrastinating like mad and trying on all my holiday outfits! It's only three weeks now till I go away for two weeks with my family. I then come back for 10 days and Im off again for a week with my Mum. I've been thinking about what Im going to post on here while Im away. If your new, I normally blog while Im away, It's part of my daily routine (which I'm obsessed with) and being frank with you guys, it's my job to post. ETCLLYMLRS isn't an issue as I've been stockpiling posts for when Im off but this one is going to be a bit harder! Im hoping to review the backlog of products I have as well as use the time away to test all the hot weather products!  I normally go to the same hotel every year which I know has good internet and I just get on with my routine it like normal! But were off somewhere new, so I don't know what to do! I know, white girl blogger problems! But hey, things like this do genuinely trouble me!

I bought this skirt and top as part of my holiday wardrobe as I was thinking I could wear them both in loads of different ways. The cut out arm top will look great with denim cut off's as well as high waisted skirts and also as a coverup for the beach.  I also thought the printed skirt would look cute with oversized loose vest tops or even a simple bralet top for the evening . I always overpack so Im trying to get as many multi use and wearable pieces as I can this year!

Im off to an Accessorize event tonight and then I have press days tomorrow. Im also hopefully going to Meat Liqour which is a restaurant that I've been wanting to go forever to! Everyone in London raves about it so its time to take a visit!

MUA all in one BB cream

mua all in one bb cream review swatch photomua all in one bb cream review swatch photo
MUA All in One BB Cream (£4)*

I've been aware of BB creams for a while, They have always been something I've wanted to love, I've previously tried two drugstore ones, The 17 BB Cream (good) and the Garnier one (terrible!) and I have tried (and loved) the Illamasqua Skinbase which was one of the first BB Cream hybrids coming over to the western market and I also trialled some authentic Asian BB creams. They sound amazing and promise a lot. Evening out of skin tone, being a primer and a foundation in one and concealing blemishes all with one super product.

I've been trying out the MUA All in One BB cream recently so I thought I'd share my thoughts on it. Personally the product feels very heavy for a BB cream, surprisingly it's one of the thickest BB creams I've tried. BB creams generally are thicker than a tinted moisturiser but not as thick as a foundation and I'd say this does have a similar feel to a normal foundation. Although saying that it doesn't feel heavy on the skin at all and blends effortlessly with my Real Techniques Buffing brush straight onto the skin. It glides over pores and fine lines and after a good buff it sits well onto the face. I find the coverage is probably about a medium or light medium depending on the amount of product used.

I have two shades, light and medium. I'd probably say light is too pale for my natural skin tone and medium is too dark for it so I mix the two. I doubt I'd be able to wear and of the three available shades shades if I was fake tanned though as the dark isn't that dark in my opinion. Fair play to MUA for making a BB cream that is actually pale. Most of the BB creams I've seen are really orange or very ashy pale. It's a shame they don't have more darker shades too. My skin is sort of pale, but olive toned so its always a struggle to get the right tone.

Overall I think It's a good lazy day foundation, I wear it on those days where I want to wear makeup but don't want to go through the faff of applying a full face of slap. The MUA BB Cream evens out my skin tone, covers any redness and conceals some of my blemishes. The finish is slightly dewy, I wouldn't class it as greasy or slick looking once applied but it does give the skin a semi dewy glow. I feel it's a touch tacky for me as I prefer my skin to look matte, but thats nothing a dust of setting powder couldn't sort out. For a measly four pounds its one of those products thats worth trying out I think!

Honestly, deciding to get Spotify Premium was one of the best decisions I've ever made. Found a NME playlist today and this Jay Z classic popped up and I've been listening to it pretty much all day. That and the related Artists feature has made me rediscover all my favourite tunes that I forgot about! I might share some of my playlists if people are interested? Baring in mind I actually like emo/post hardcore~ type of music, along with all the standard indie and the mainstream stuff!

I don't know why I think this dress is way too short because to be fair it isn't THAT short. Looking back at some of the clothes I used to wear its nothing! I felt like I was walking down the high street with my arse out today! The dress is from Topshop Boutique, I'd wanted it for ages (and everything else from Topshop Boutique!) but decided to cave and get it when I had to return a few things at the weekend. It doesn't count when you return things don't you know! Blue is a bit out there for me, but I know it suits me and will be perfect for my holiday wardrobe! It's a 100% silk, super light weight so I feel like I'm wearing nothing at all, and to be honest in all likelihood I'll buy the black version of this too as it's the perfect "me in the summer" style of dress! I think I'll have to buy some shorts to wear under it so I don't feel like Im exposing myself to the whole of London!

sunday portrait week 126

001. Had a pretty good weekend soaking up the sun and watching the Eurovision. The weather is to DIE for so I've spent most of my time drinking Iced coffee mocha's from Starbucks and sitting in the sun! I also went to a blogger event on Saturday which I actually really really enjoyed. Was the perfect mix of being able to chat to other bloggers as well as having brands explain their products to you without being too much pressure! I've also never seen such a well dressed bunch of people! Made me feel incredibly underdressed in my oversized black tunic and leopard flats! I got some url's of some bloggers which I still haven't gone through yet, but honestly their outfits all put my efforts to shame!

002. Week one without fake tan really went very badly. Considering I was so good for a whole week and then ended up fake tanning last night before I went out. Oops. I should really be trying to get a real tan rather than bronzing up! But I just can't resist it sometimes! I won a Xen Tan goody bag at the Bloggers Boutique event I went to! I literally cannot wait to crack that out! I've always wanted to try higher end tanners! I normally use St Moritz Dark Mousse which I reviewed on ETCLLYMLRS a few days ago!

003. I really need to buy a new foundation but Im finding it quite hard to decide which one I want to get. My skin has really cleared up recently, and Im getting fed up of the dull/cakiness of matte skin. I want something glowy, but not dewy, sort of semi matte and low to medium coverage. I can't believe I'm giving up full coverage though! Im so happy with myself! I have such an odd skintone I can't ever seem to find the right foundations for my skin!

004. I'm also looking for product recommendations of things I could possibly review while Im on holiday in a few weeks. Im going away for two weeks, coming back for 10 days and then going off on holiday again so I'd really like to use that time to try out some waterproof, tanning, long lasting products, summer essentials and other stuff like that while Im there. Any ideas of things I could try would be great! Especially things you like to take on holiday with you!

005. Im thinking of getting a new Mulberry purse, as I love my pink one so much! Would you go for brown or black?

PS. Remember to enter my latest giveaway for a River Island Rose Gold Watch!

Galaxy Essential Upgrades

galaxy essential upgrades llymlrs
galaxy essential upgrades llymlrs

I know I say that I'm always working on exciting projects with brands, Some I can talk about some I can't quite tell all yet. Despite the fact sometimes I ALWAYS just want to tell everyone everything! However, today I'm incredibly excited to announce something that I can actually talk about! I've been asked to partner with Galaxy and be part of their Essential Upgrades campaign. Galaxy Essential Upgrades is all about small things you can do to make an experience just that little bit more special.

Therefore in the upcoming months I'll be working alongside Galaxy Essential Upgrades, creating a variety of blog based content based on my ideas of “Essential Upgrades”. I'll be focusing on things to do with upgrading your life, wardrobe and makeup bag and many more. I already have so many of my "upgrade" ideas to share, things like D.I.Y's, must have products to add to your makeup collection, tutorials, short guides on making the most of the clothes already have and loads more. As part of my first ever post, I've been asked to introduce myself to the Galaxy Facebook audience and those who might not already know me! Although, I'm hoping a lot of you guys reading this on my blog will already know me by now!

I'm Lily. I am 22 years old and live in London. I did a degree in Graphic and Media design and graduated last year, However I'm a blogger most of the time nowadays. I also run my own jewellery store called JWLRY and work alongside various brands and networks on a freelance basis for social media projects. I've been blogging for almost three years now on my original blog LLYMLRS. Which on reflection I probably would have called it something easier to say, but it's my name without vowels! LLYMLRS is a personal style blog where I post daily photos of outfits I wear. Everything I wear on my blog are things I wear in real life, none of it is set up purely for blogging! In late 2011, I launched a secondary follow up blog called ETCLLYMLRS which is a beauty and lifestyle blog. On that blog I tend post about things I do, products I try, events I attend, things I want to buy and anything else that comes to mind! I started blogging as part of a university project and now its grown beyond my wildest dreams. I'm so thankful for the opportunities and some of the things I've got to do in the past three years because of my blog! I've been to London Fashion Week, Presented videos for a major fashion designer, Worked with high-street and indie brands as well as meeting some of the most inspirational and creative people in my life through blogging!

I'm mainly inspired by the people and places in London, other bloggers and high street shops. I love the UK high-street and try and make everything I buy fit in to my own style. As for a few random facts about me I love pro-wrestling, history (especially the Mayans), making frivolous purchases and tweeting way too much! Follow me on @llymlrs! Be warned though, I do talk a lot!

So a big “HI” to potential new readers who've come over from the Galaxy Facebook page to check my blog out! And to everyone else who already knows me I hope your as interested in whats coming up over the next couple of months! I'm genuinely excited to be involved with this project! And NO I won't be blogging about chocolate or Galaxy constantly!
Personal Disclaimer: I am being compensated by Galaxy Essential Upgrades for creating content for them. None of the following posts I create are constructed or forced by them. All opinions and ideas are my own. I am not affiliated with any of the brands mentioned in any posts apart from Galaxy.
