Kept it all black with a neon ~POP~ today. God I hate the expression "colour pop", Excuse my extreme lame-o-ness! I love this ASOS top but it's ridiculously hard to wear as the sides are so low. Im tempted to leave it without a top on underneath so my bra's subtly showing but I still feel a touch trampy leaving the house like that! So we shall see how daring I feel! Not sure what drew me to the pumps though, Im not big on colour (if you couldn't tell by the ammount of black outfits I wear) but I do like wearing little bits of it, especially neons. I saw someone in the queue in H&M wearing with these and promptly asked where I could get them from. I just had to have them! I sacrificed my place in the really really long Oxford Street queue and ran to find them! Super comfy, although a bit wide for my narrow feet though ):
Tonight I'm off to see Funeral for a Friend with Zoe, and the realisation that Casually Dressed and Deep in Conversation came out almost 10 years ago makes me want to weep. I remember when that actually came out, But I'm all for the emo nostalgia! In theory I should wear something suitably emo, but I don't think I could carry off the clothes I used to wear when I was 15. I've just taken those baby steps towards wearing skinny jeans again!
I really like your outfit I especially like your necklace.
ReplyDeleteI love this top, really really like the splash of colour too lady! Have fun tonight, I haven't been to Hippodrome in a while... they do good cocktails though! x
ReplyDeleteI love those shoes, and the top is great! I can see how it might be a bit difficult to wear though!
ReplyDeleteCara x
I love that top! xx
ReplyDeleteHow do you do your hair like this? :)) love this outfit! X
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad to hear another person hates the expression 'colour pop' I hate it!
ReplyDeleteSkinny jeans are the only piece of clothing I still wear from my ~goff~ days, everything else I wouldn't dare wear now!
Your hair is looking gorgeous x

I love this outfit! I also love FFAF, the only band from my emo~*~ days that I'll still listen to! Have a great time! xx
ReplyDeleteDefinitely agree with the hatred of the phrases 'pop of colour' and 'playing with colour' also, anything to do with 'cinched in at the waist' I also cannot stand. I remember in those Gok 'How to look good naked' programmes he used use the phrase 'ooo it really cinches you in at the waist' as a description for EVERY outfit! Ahhhh hahaha I'm clearly too easily annoyed! x
ReplyDeleteI like how your shoes have added a pop of colour to the outfit, looking beautiful as always

FFAF take me back! Remember going to see them not long after Casually Dressed came out (I have a dodgy old photo of me at that gig wearing a men's FFAF souvenir tee and baggy jeans from Oasis in Birmingham! Complete with Etnies trainers, spiky bracelets & waaay too much eyeliner - so emo. Haha) and they were pretty terrible, but the gig was amazing anyway and I still love the album to this day haha!
ReplyDeleteThis outfit is actually really summery is a nearly all black kinda way! Love the hair too :-)

Wow, has it really been that long since we flipped our oversized fringes to FFAF? I love these shoes, I have never been a fan on ballet pumps (I have big feet and they never fit, always rub on the heel) but if you say these are comfy maybe Ill go have a hunt for them in Edinburgh. I thought these leggings were your favourite disco pants again!
