001. My brother (and cousins, its his birthday today and Jared's tomorrow!) birthday meal was actually alright! Woke up in a terrible mood and initiallyvdidn't want to go! This was mainly because I stayed up reading Game of Thrones on my Kindle till 2am! I didn't really want to go because I'm not one for pretentious food, I hate all that faff (and small portions!) but it was actually really nice! I much prefer simple food, cooked well rather than butternut squash risotto and amaretti biscuits...!?
002. As you may have noticed I've changed my hair a bit which you can read a bit more about on ETCLLYMLRS! ;) Haha! Also remember to enter the Models Own rainbow of nail polish giveaway while you are there!
003. All the Christmas Ads during X Factor tonight have overwhelmed me. Its coming so quickly, The idea of Christmas shopping absolutely terrifies me. I love buying presents for people but Christmas always leaves me at a complete blank!
004. I'm going to Amsterdam next weekend so I highly doubt there will be a Sunday post! Getting so close to the big 100 which is mega exciting!! I'm going with my Mum for the weekend which should be a goodun'! I went with my ex boyfriend a few years ago and we really enjoyed it. Hoping to just relax and have a bit of laid back weekend away! If anyone has been and can recommend places to eat/go/do that are FAMILY friendly, ie. no coffee shops! Dont think MMMYMLRS would be impressed!

Once again, gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteAwesome photo! I've been desperate for a fringe for about 4 months but scared to take the plunge!

ReplyDeleteI've been to Amsterdam and couple of times, I love it. You absolutely cannot get lost, as its all circular, so eventually you end up where you started. There is an amazing department store on the edge of the central square, and there are lots of giant clogs you can climb into for lolz. There are some gorgeous little street markets and boutiques too. Enjoy!!

How funny, I just came back from Amsterdam today! Stayed there only for a short weekend therefore can't give you much inside, however for some shopping you def. have to go to Kalverstraat (tram to Muntplein) where you'll also find a Monki store *swoon*. Or if you like some vintage/secondhand stuff, check out the huge waterlooplein market (from Amsterdam Centraal metro or tram to Waterlooplein). They had a big stall with fur hads and coats - some fake some real - really great and piles and piles of clothes to rummage. Hope you two have a nice trip!
ReplyDeleteso gorgeous as always!

girrl! I live 15 minutes away from Amsterdam. I know all the secret, good places to go.. depends on how many time you have:p and what do you want to do the most.. shopping, eating, relaxing or spending good time with your mum? If it's shopping then don't forget to peek into 'the nine streets' of amsterdam.. good vintage stores and great vibe:) A really cool loungebar is called 'The Tara' it's on the Rokin 85. It's a loungebar/café/restaurant appropriate for all ages.. and they have like 6 different themes.. so you have a fireplace corner, a more modern corner with different couches and stools etc. uhm.. anything more.. even though it probably will be could it's always fun to go through the famous park 'Vondelpark' it's a big park, nice to walk through and talk with your mum:) and see LOTS of bikes going pass you;) hm.. what else.. ohh and if you want to try something really dutch.. you should try a fish it's called 'haring':p not a lot of people like it.. because of its smell or just fish.. but maybe if you want to do something crazy:p well.. if you want to know more or anything you can always ask! Have a great time in Amsterdam.. I'm sure you will.
ReplyDeleteI love this photo !

ReplyDeleteWent earlier this yr to Amsterdam, such gud fun even if it did pour it down! Bols Museum was definitely the best, take ur student card and get in for 9.20 euros rather then 11 euros but u get a free cocktail and shot at the end, really interactive as well! We dropped in at the Hard Rock Cafe as it was near it, just for photos. Brilliant touristy places. xxx

If mummy doesn't mind a bit of drinking then the Bols museum is good, it's by the Reijks museum and you get a really short museum, with 2 free cocktails and a shot of your choosing. Also really like Anne Frank's house if you're down for a bit of culture!

ReplyDeletethere is an amazing bagel shop called 'bagel and beans' near anne franks house, the mozerella pesto and tomato ones are to die for! vondlepark is really pretty to sit in (i got cold in july) so wrap up warm! there are really pretty flower markets. its gorgeous, i love amsterdam!
ReplyDeletei love amsterdam, been there the last time this summer! i can highly recommend the VONDELPARK! it was so nice in summer and i guess in autumn it's beautiful to look at, too. there is also i cafe in there which is quiet nice, there is a big wall where hundrets of b/w photos of celebrities are, and the food is good too! I unfortunately don't remember the name but when you enter the park its quiet at the beginning on the right side
ReplyDeleteHAVE FUN!
