001. Checked my bank today and my student loan had surprisingly gone in, I thought it wasn't in till Tuesday, but I'm a happy bunny! Marks the start of the epic 5-6 weeks till I actually have left until I leave university and be a graduate. I've been working on a magazine layout based project for most of the day which has been really fun. Just need to write some content for it now! Feeling mightily inspired at the moment, and actually have alot of desire to work and make these last weeks really count!
002. I'm in a bit of a clothing slump at the moment, I don't really like anything in the shops, and I find it all a bit blah. I like colour blocking but I feel its a bit too *in* for my liking, Im not so keen on the Navajo trend that's being forced upon us either. So who knows what I'll be wearing from now on. Right now IRL I tend to be wearing the same things over and over again. There just isn't anything that has caught my eye and been like "WOW I NEED THIS". I tried to do a Topshop order today but my card was declined because they thought it was a fraudulent transaction. Maybe its a sign.
003. I went to see Scream 4 the other day too, Which I highly recommend. Its just a parody of itself now which I think is great. Was very twisty and turny, but stayed true to what Scream was about in the first place.
004. I think I might take a trip to London next week or the week after. I really fancy just going down for a day or two just to go to some exhibitions and learning some stuff! If anyone knows of anything good going on down there let me know!

You always look amazing! I love this post :)

There's a Bridget Riley exhibition at the National Gallery that finishes towards the end of May. Think I'm gonna try and check it out soon. x
ReplyDeleteI really hate it when that happens! Atm I'm loving things off yayer and other online vintage stores. What I hate about retail is you know you will see someone wearing exact same thing! xoxo
ReplyDeleteYou look lovely, m'dear!
ReplyDeleteI feel the same way about clothes at the moment, it's all just a bit mleh. Although, this has made me visit independant boutiques which has pleasantly surprised me! xo
Oooh! We both get really excited when Richard's (my bf) loan goes in. Though, I think his last loan went in a little while ago, so we won't get that excited feeling anymore, haha.
ReplyDeleteAnd I know how you feel. I like a few of the things in stores at the moment, but it's all the same stuff I have in my wardrobe already. I've decided to just focus on some basics for the time being. I don't like the colour-blocking trend as I've never been a fan of it. It's too much of a "trend", you know?

ReplyDeleteLove your messy hair bun, I've got mine in a similar up do just now.. classic Sunday evening. Good luck with finishing your magazine project, that sounds interesting xx
ReplyDeleteHey, I know what you mean about a clothes rut! The girls in the first pic in this http://c0louredlights.blogspot.com/2011/04/annyong-hasseo.html really inspired me think about trying different things with blocking without looking too 'in fashion' and they kind of made me think of you, hope that's ok!
ReplyDeleteI love that daisy headband in your last post though, adorable! xxx
Saw Scream4 a couple of weeks ago to, utterly hilarious :D loved it!
ReplyDeleteToday's portraits are really gorgeous!
Happy Sunday! I sometimes get that feeling about the shops and I've been on a highstreet break for the past month! It's been surprisingly refreshing and I've just picked up the odd piece in charity shops to hold off any clothing cravings! Enjoy your last student loan wherever you spend it! xx
ReplyDeleteI'm in a clothes slump too! not helped by the fact that my loan is yet to go in.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely definitely go and see the susan hiller at tate britain (on until 15th May), it's fantastic i could go on about it forever but wouldnt want to give anything away.
Love your hair :)

I know what you mean about the blah clothes on the high street these days, I'm trying to find a summer ball dress and I swear to God I looked online for dresses at every shop I could think of. Nothing!
ReplyDeleteYour hair looks funny. Nice post.

ReplyDeleteThat wander around London sounds great, I've been meaning to go to the V&A as soon as I can, I love that place x
know what you mean about the clothing slump - i've been buying considerably less than normal considering i need less wintery things now summer is edging its way nearer!
ReplyDeletei'd recommend the yohji yamamoto exhibition at the v&a if you haven't already seen it :)

ReplyDeleteI've been to see Scream 4 too and I really enjoyed it!
xx
You always look stunning :)
ReplyDeleteaww you look so pretty in those pictures!
ReplyDeleteand I'm completely the same about clothes now. I went to Topshop last week and didn't buy anything which is definitely a first for me! the last few things ive bought have all been vintage, so if you're coming up to London i would definitely recommend going to spitalfields as they have the best vintage shops xx
Kinda feel the same about colour blocking.. Do love a bright colour, but would rather pair it with a neutral. Some people pull it off so well though!
ReplyDeleteyour hair looks amazing like that.. I crave to have enough hair to do a messy up do thingy lol!

ooou, i love these two photo's! they're different than the usual.
ReplyDeleteAhh, leaving uni must be so scary! I still have a year left but I'm dreading it!
ReplyDeleteI love going to London on my own. I always just go to museums and wander round. I went last week and went to Buckingham Palace to see all the flags and stuff :)
Oh wow where does the time go! Yeah enjoy it hunni, job hunting is never fun. Shop's just seem to have all the same stuff in, it's like all there buyers have been to the same place for stock! Well if you do came to London than give me a tweet if you like. There is not anything major going on there's some stuff at the southbank (a huge fox and sand along the walk), and I think the moving images museum is still there which is pretty cool. Science museum is always amazing too. I'm sure you will find something kitten xxx
ReplyDeleteBuy some vintage things if you're over the high street stuff :) You always get something that no one else has which I love!

much love.
I love this picture :))
ReplyDeleteVery cute hair, how come when I wear my hair like this I look like a tramp lol Totally agree with the clothing situation, been into town so many times this bank holiday and came out empty handed! Started to look in more vintage shops to see if anything strikes me xx :o)
ReplyDeleteCool post.
ReplyDeleteIf you do go London have a good time

Yeah not much thats intriguing me atm in shops. totally Scream 4 was epic Emmaroberts was awesome great movie <3
ReplyDeleteI quite like the colour blocking trend, coming from a small town not many people are doing it, which makes it kind of special I suppose.

I would have loved to see scream 4, but I was afraid it was not going to be as good as the others. So thanks for sharing your review
ReplyDeleteReally odd compliment, but your eyebrows are perfect!

Best of luck with your last few weeks in uni ! x
ReplyDeleteI'm too wearing all the same things right now, because I've finished school and spend most day on the couch learning for my exams in my jogging pants and a sweater, really innovative!
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean! It's my birthday in a couple of days time and I desperately wanted to get a couple of new bits and bobs for various nights out this week - but there's nothing I like in the shops or online. It's very unusual of me to not see anything I like.
ReplyDeleteStill need to get my ass to the cinema to see Scream 4! Went to see Thor the other day though - that was good x x
You're the most beautiful girl i've ever seen! Really, i'm jealous!
ReplyDeleteI'm from Germany and next week I'm in London too! :)
