top: H&M
cardigan: yayer
belt:
rings: forever 21(this one and i cant find the other online!)
I really love colour and the way colours can or cant go together. By challenging myself to wear a little more colour over the past few years its really made me want to play around with things. I used to be a strictly black, white and grey kinda girl, but now Im all for experimental colours! I think its the artist inside of me comes out when it comes to pairing things up. My favourite combination at the moment are turquoise and pink & camel and blue. Just lovely!
I know I wear this Yayer cardigan (I think its sold out though!) all the time too, It really is my favourite thing I've ever been sent. I often don't accept gifted items of clothing as they aren't my style or I really wouldn't wear them more than once for blog purposes only. I think I'd feel a little like cheating by raving about something and wearing it once! And do I really need to add more clutter to my overflowing wardrobe? Anyway, they also have a contest at the moment for bloggers, to win £300 worth of clothes and a chance to style a shoot for them! Its defo worth entering!
I have a few more rings and a necklace up on my JWLRY website! I'm going to be spending the next week planning out ideas and sketching some proper consistent branding for it. Including some sweet packaging, a logo and probably sorting out a website. I'm hoping to incorporate it into one of my Final Major Projects for university as well so Im hoping it comes out well!
Oh and Im also looking to buy a Conical wand! Does anyone have any recommendations? Right now I'm looking at the Babyliss Curling Wand, and the reviews online look good. But any personal ones would be awesome! I want something that's got a large barrell for some soft waves ala Mary Kate Olsen (the dream hair of pretty much everyone in the whole universe)!

I've bought the hot tools one :) its really popular in the states. You can't get it in the UK but I bought it through ebay.
ReplyDeleteLove this outfit, this combination of colours is perfect! I have the Babyliss Pro curling wand and it's amazing, would definitely recommend it, it creates really soft natural looking waves/curls and doesn't look to "done" in a good way :) x x
ReplyDeleteOh I love Yayer too, they have such a pretty site!
ReplyDeleteI have that Babyliss curling wand, I think its amazing! I have curly/big hair anyway but i feel that this gives my hair soft big waves and It's super quick to use which is always a bonus for me, I hate waiting on things to heat up for ages!
Love your skirt. The tooth necklace is lovely

Gorgeous outfit, love the camel tones and know wonder you love the yayer cardigan, tis a beaut! x
ReplyDeleteLove your top and the skirt. Nice to see people wearing colour coming up to spring! :) x x
ReplyDeleteI'm seriously in love with your skirt x

Looooving the outfit combo! Don't Babyliss do something called Glamour waves or something? I've heard that's good.
ReplyDeletexoxo
I'd really recommend the Remington Pearl wand. The barrel is quite large at the base for soft waves and the top is smaller so you've got the option of more defined curls too. It's the only wand I've tried that actually works on my hair since it's quite thin!
ReplyDeletePS I love your outfit xxx
Lush outfit! Love the aqua ring =]. As for curlers, can you not use straighteners? If not, I've heard good reviews of the one you are looking at =].

I have this babyliss curler - http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/4432272/Trail/searchtext%3EBABYLISS.htm
ReplyDeleteit's so good for big bouncy waves!
I have a Babyliss curler, I got it years ago though! I really like it except my hair refuses to stay 'done' so it's always pretty much straight aster a few hours!
ReplyDeleteI really love this outfit! And I need to have some of your JWLRY, just need to get paid first! X
Burn the Blonde
i want a conical wand too!xxx
ReplyDeletestilettosandcigarettes

ReplyDeletei want your belt!
ReplyDeletethe top reminds me of the topshop cream blushers! lovely ring <3
ReplyDeletei know you want a wand, but i use these and they are REALLY good http://www.amazon.co.uk/BaByliss-3035U-Thermo-Ceramic-Rollers/dp/B000XUPKVG take 5mins to shove them messy in then you just leave them in while you do your makeup/get ready then take them out and wa-la! i have a wand but doint my hair strand by strand takes longer to the curlers are more of a time saver :)
ReplyDeleteessay over!
I adore this look!

Love this outfit, you look lovely hun! I use a wand too, all i no is get the thickest wand you can find, they give the more 'lose waves look' that i think your after! :) xx
ReplyDeleteI adore the colours in this outfit! I love the pop of colour with the ring too.
ReplyDeleteI have that babyliss wand and it's really good if you know what you're doing (I don't) so I only use it if other people can do it for me!
Love the cardigan.
ReplyDeleteI use the Mark Hill conical wand, it's designed to give a wavy curl instead of a shirley temple.
Got mine in boots on half price, best thing i've ever bought for my hair.
xxx
I agree the babyliss one is great I have it and you can create so many different curls with it including loose ones so it really is a holly grail curler. xx
ReplyDeletei have the babyliss conicial wand and its amazing! it is thicker at one end, then gets thinner at the other end so its easy to create different looks with it :) xxx
ReplyDeleteI like the skirt!
ReplyDeleteI have Glamour waves by babyliss which has a large barrel designed for large curls. check boots and argos as its often on offer xx
ReplyDeletebeautiful outfit, as always!

I'm going to go against the grain here and say that the BEST curlers I have ever used are the (hilariously named) Baby Curls..
ReplyDeletehttp://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B001M55OJY/ref=pd_lpo_k2_dp_sr_3?pf_rd_p=103612307&pf_rd_s=lpo-top-stripe&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_i=B001M51ZYC&pf_rd_m=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&pf_rd_r=00DY3T39V2ZM2A0XPJQA
you can get them in different sizes (I think mine are 25mm) and they are twice the price of the Babyliss curlers but honestly it is so worth it. They do get mega mega hot though because they are intended to be able to do more tight curls (obviously a no no) but I find that this added heat actually makes for better waves! My friends always make me wave their hair for them with them, which takes a million years because they have ALOT of hair.
I have to say though I do burn myself using them regularly, though they come with a glove (that I've never used.) Though I think thats crappy technique as opposed to anything else!
xx
This is such a cute outfit, I love your rings :) xx
ReplyDeleteI like what you said about artists and color. With that, I think you should bring back showing your doodles/sketches/Moleskines! miss that!
ReplyDeletelove your skirt and your belt!
ReplyDeletecute polka dot top too! ^^
ooo and adore your rings, BEAUTIFUL
Krissy xoxo
try waving wand for loose curls, its even better! takes few minutes, and results are always good.
ReplyDeletehttp://www.babyliss.co.uk/stylers_2286u.html
I like your top
ReplyDeletehttp://beaufashionxoxo.blogspot.com/
I have the Mark Hill conical wand which I think is a bit bigger than the babylis, and I really love it. It's just really quick and easy and results look really natural. Best hung I've ever bought for my hair! X
ReplyDeleteI'm absolutely in love with this outfit!
ReplyDeleteThe top is really nice- you wear everything so well!
ReplyDeleteI have the babyliss curling wand, and I love it. It heats up fast and the waves actually last in my hair, which is quite an achievement for me.

I really like the brown, and brown together. It seems like your playing with more color, and prints lately.

What a gorgeous outfit, as i've said previously, i LOVE that skirt! I can totally relate to you about being a 'black, grey & white' kind of girl when it comes to clothing. I was totally the same, but im trying to break my habit at the moment and wear some colour! that Yayer cardigan is truly lovely, will definately be entering their competition!
ReplyDeleteHave a good week lovely xx
gorg skirt! Love cord!x

Mark Hill. Mark Hill. Mark Hill. Seriously, its the best. I also have the Remington Pearl (I have no idea why I have two..) and the Mark Hill one kicks ass. :) x
ReplyDeleteLike above Mark Hill have amazing curling/waving wands!! XXX
ReplyDeletehttp://www.boots.com/en/BaByliss-Waving-Wand-2286U_1111821/
ReplyDeleteMaybe try the waving wand instead if you're after softer waves. X
Make sure to buy the larger size barrel conical wand with Babyliss as there are two different sizes. The smaller one gives you a curl that is too small!
ReplyDeleteHeard great things about the Mark Hill magic wand. How about looking into the triple barrelled waver as well.
ReplyDeleteSuch a super cute color palette, and that H&M dotted top is adorable. Babyliss is a great hair styling tool brand in general, I would think the Curling Wand would do just the trick!

I love this look!

I love the way you put colours together. You always get it SO right! .x.
ReplyDeletelovely lily, i really like this colour combo as well, soft but still daring.
ReplyDeleteI adore your blog - it actually is what made me start my own :)
ReplyDeleteAnyways, I know it said that you were looking for a wand, but after going through hair school and styling a bunch of fashion shoots that were based around that kind of style I've found that the easiest way to get the loose, messy wave look is with a straightener. You take small pieces and twist them the same way you would to curl a ribbon. With that and some hairspray, it's a much faster, easier wave to get that bedhead look. Give it a try and let me know!
awesome outfit♥
